Short drabble I wrote in class.

SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 616. DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER.

Can I just say how pissed I was at first, when TENTEN DIDN'T CRY AT ALL! I mean. Really. I mean, I understood why Gai didn't cry, after all, he had probably seen horrors far worse and lost way more loved ones in his lifetime, but really Tenten. But I understood her reasoning. So I wrote this, for all the rest of you who were like me and completely pissed off with her.

I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP.

She understood.

Whilst Lee sat, collapsed, sobbing over their fallen teammate, she quietly watched from above. Even his death had been graceful, musical, angelic. The Hyuuga boy looked good doing everything, apparently even dying. With his long hair splaying onto Lee's lap, his lavender eyes half-lidded, a look of contentment and a smile on his face he was beautiful.

She tried to ignore the ugly, protruding thorn in his abdomen. She remembered the first time she had seen his taut, snow-white flesh. He had been hit with a kunai during a mission, and although she had little to no medical experience, she had removed his clothing to bandage his wounds. The kunai had barely cut him, yet Tenten couldn't help but muse at how beautiful the ruby red blood looked against his porcelain chest.

She thought of that porcelain breast, ripped and gory from the Ten Tails' branches. She bit her lip, looking back at her sobbing teammate.

"Lee…" her eyes softened. She knew there were no words she could offer to console her teammate. Lee saw Neji as his brother. If there was anyone in the world that cared just as much—maybe even more—for the Hyuuga than Tenten, was sitting in front of her, eyes filled with sorrow and eerie rage.

Tenten knew it was no use to cry. Even though she was just as distressed, if not more, than Lee, she understood. No amount of tears would ever bring the prodigy back.
