I finally got around to writing a Fairy Tail story! This one is just a short one about Nalu (my favourite ship in this show)!
Sorry, couldn't wait for New Year's Eve, heheh.

Disclaimer: I obviously do NOT own Fairy Tail or anything like that, if I did, Nalu would have already happened in an early episode! (Also, would not have returned Lisanna.)

All of the Fairy Tail members were inside the guild, they were celebrating New Year's Eve. In a matter of minutes it would soon become the year 792.

Sitting close to Natsu and Lucy's table was Erza, she was eating some strawberry cake. Gray and Juvia were sitting across the guild, far away from the two but they could still hear Juvia proclaiming her love for Gray while trying to catch her now running away love in a bear hug. Most of the other (non important) Fairy Tail members were brawling, a lot of them trying to steer away from Erza's table.

Someone yelled, "the countdown is going to start in a minute!"

Wizards were taking out their watches and watching the second hand tick down from 11:57.

"This is very exciting," Lucy had her attention focused on Natsu, her hands intertwined under her chin, supporting it.

"You said it," Natsu said in between chewing on his roast pork.

"Aye, sir!" Happy cheered.

Lucy gasped, "Natsu! Lets go watch the fireworks!"

Before waiting for Natsu to respond, she grabbed his hand and pulled him outside. She got out her pocket watch she bought not too long ago.

"11:59," Lucy murmured.

All of a sudden, the people of their guild started flooding outside. They were all waiting for the countdown to begin.

"This is it," Natsu whispered to Lucy.

Everybody started counting.

"10, 9, 8-"

Lucy had grabbed Natsu's hand. She felt Natsu flinch for a split second but he didn't say anything, he continued to count. Lucy giggled.

"5, 4, 3-"

Lucy pulled Natsu closer and turned his head around to face her.

"2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Everyone was laughing and cheering but Natsu and Lucy were doing something else. Before Natsu could yell out 'happy new year', Lucy pulled him close and gave him a passionate kiss. Some of the guild members turned to them and whistled. Lucy pulled away and whispered in Natsu's ear.

"Happy New Year, Natsu."

"Happy New Year, Luce."
