Hi there! My first fanfic - review and please be nice ^_^

I do not own the Turtles, but I do own my stories.

The Root Of All Evil – (Origin) Someone's making plans to destroy the team, but who – and why? Meridian #1.

'Is everything ready?'

'Affirmative. The serum is undergoing production now, enough for several test subjects. Simulations have been tested and approved, and your telepath has been briefed on their details along with the intended result.'

'You said 'several' test subjects, Agent Bishop. How many is 'several'?'

'We have enough serum to fully evolve at least four test subjects – why, did you have some… enemies… in mind?'

A malicious chuckle echoed around the room.

'I think you have already guessed my plan, Agent – you are a smart man, or so I've heard. And we both know that neither of us would miss a chance to see those despicable freaks of science in pain.'

Bishop smirked. 'My thoughts exactly. Come and see the setup. I think you'll be pleased…'

'So this serum – you are sure it will be successful?'

'Indeed we are. Although the use of Sanguine blood has been notoriously… unpredictable… in the past, we are certain that we have ironed out any erratic genes as well as any deficiencies. We've also made allowances for their mutant DNA; however they will still experience primary evolution. It shouldn't be a problem.'

'And the simulations?'

'Specially designed to create extreme emotional stress in the subjects, weakening their resistance to the serum.'

'Wonderful. Execute the plan immediately.'

Four shadows leapt over the rooftops of New York City, playing what appeared to be an unusual game of tag - one of them, anyway. The other three were intensely focused on their journey, and one eventually lost his patience and shushed the miscreant, after which the expedition resumed silently.

As they passed one particular roof, another shadow melted from the darkness and watched them disappear around the end of the street. The dark-clothed figure removed a walkie-talkie from its belt and spoke in Japanese.

'They're on their way…'

Tonight was just the beginning.

The beginning of the end…
