Everyone at the rally screamed with anticipation, I didn't know how many people showed up but all that I can say is that there is a lot of people in an area probably only ment for a few hundred. I smiled to myself, it's nice to see everyone with such high spirits. After the war had started we didn't have much to cling on to. So we grabbed on to every false hope that came to us. But everyone knows these people know business, this is not a lie like everything else was. No, this is different.
The lights dimmed, and the stage lights flashed blinding rays of light into the crowd.
"All of you have potential." Said a voice, the lights turned and flashed on a figure on the stage. I could clearly distinguish the distinct feminine features and decided that this person was probably a woman. Everyone's screams of hope and encouragement grew louder, it was beginning to hurt my ears.
"How many more have to die until we end this war, let me tell you that we have the answer." The figure paused and held her hand up, signaling for the crowd to quiet down.
"No more have to die. For we have the end to this war and the key to the end is all of you." She paused agian.
"You will all be tested and a selected few will be taken to be given enhancements," her gaze swept through the crowd as if searching for someone or something.
"those who are given these enhancements will be given power unimaginable, and these selected people will and this war and all the sad ness that it has given to this land." At this last sentence people expressed their exitement in whoops and hollers. The stage lights shut off all at once leavening the crowd in the dark.
I thought back to the beginning of the war..
A small girl with her family then loud noises, screaming, booms, and then nothing.
