Hey, this is my first tenchi muyo fic so don't expect wonders. I know its not very long, but through chapters it will improve, thats a promise Either way, comments would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I'm standin' on the bridge.

I'm waitin' in the dark.

I thought that you'd be here by now.

There's nothing but the rain.

No footsteps on the ground.

I'm listening, but there's no sound.

Isn't anyone tryin' to find me?

Won't somebody come take me home?

Soft tendrils of rose pink hung limply in the physically young scientists olive eyes, the pigment shimmering as she blinked back tears that threatened to slip past the stubborn glass. Screwing her pale fingers into a tight ball and deliberately digging her pointed nails into the skin of her wrist, she narrowed her eyes and suddenly collapsed onto the black keyboard that hovered in front of her, the slam of her slim torso causing numerous unexplainable digits to flash vacantly across the screen. This just agitating Washu more, she leaped up in fury and threw the laptop across the room, watching it spark a few times as it collided with a metal pipe and then sizzle, a few wisps of smoke pouring from within the remains.

"Its just not fair!"

She screamed, acting like a spoilt three-year-old, despite the odd 20,000 years that she had on top of that. Falling to the cold flooring, she hastily wiped a few salty tears that streaked her pink cheeks still too determined to give into the emotion that was overcoming her. All those years Kagato had locked her away, and how was she treating her freedom? Literally locking herself in her lab. It was a prison that she'd created as a barrier to protect herself. Was it really all about science?

The female snatched at a glass test tube and blankly gazed at the bubbling cyan liquid inside before hooking It back up on its shelf of other unbeknownst objects and burying her head in her hands.

It's a damn cold night,

tryin' to figure out this life.

Won't you take me by the hand,

take me somewhere new.

I don't know who you are but I,

I'm with you.

I'm with you.
