In the End written by Lina Ben.
I don't own Pokemon or Linkin Park's song, In the End.
I will be doing a sequel to "Leave out all the Rest", "Minutes to Midnight", "Shadow of the Day and this story and it will be a chaptered story.
On the very minute the sun had set Summer the Espeon and Winter the Umbreon started to fight for their lives. Summer teleported to dodge Winter's merciless attacks, but they just kept on coming. Summer's tail glowed and she hit her brother with her Iron Tail attack. They fought for what seemed like forever, tiring them out. In the midst of their battling two Pokemon appeared. One was a Cresselia called Rainbowmoon and the other was a Darkrai called Shadowmoon. Summer and Winter turned their attention towards the Legendary Pokemon. The Legendaries didn't breathe a single word, but both Summer and Winter knew why they were here. The Darkrai and the Cresselia were both going to witness their own legendary battle, once more.
Back when Summer and Winter were kids their mother, Rainbow, would tell them stories about the Legend of the Ying Yang Cliffs. This legend was about a Cresselia and a Darkrai fighting the eternal clash between Light and Darkness. It was foretold that their reincarnations would fight the same legendary battle in the place that the first battle took place. Summer thought it was just a silly ghost story that parent Pokemon told their kids, but now it was all to real. Floating before the siblings were Rainbowmoon and Shadowmoon. Winter bowed down before the Darkrai and Summer bowed to the Cresselia. They started to fight once more, the twilight falling onto the scenery around them.
Summer was reaching her physical limit, her body losing more blood and energy. Winter was in the same predicament, but he was losing very little blood. They still fought, their bodies getting weaker and weaker as each attack hit. Summer pinned Winter close to the edge of the cliff. The Umbreon licked at her lips, hungrily. "So…are you going to kill me now, Summer?" he whispered. The Espeon let out a small snarl, while Winter continued to lick at her lips. Summer jumped off her brother and stood up. "I can't kill you, Winter." she sighed. The Umbreon stood up and stared at his sister. "I can't kill you, because I still love you…" Summer whispered, as a single tear fell onto her cheek. Suddenly, the edge of the cliff that Winter was standing on started cracking. "Goodbye, Summer…" The Umbreon said, sadly. The cliff cracked fully and Winter fell to the ground bellow.
When Shadowmoon and Rainbowmoon had fought this same battle they died, keeping the balance between Light and Darkness. Even though Winter had died, neither he nor Summer had won their battle because they both lost something. Summer had lost her brother and Winter had lost his life. The eternal battle between Light and Darkness was balanced again.
Summer collapsed onto the ground of the cliff. She cried and mourned the death of her brother. She had saved Whisper Forest. Summer sighed "In the End…only one will prevail…one will live…and one will die…" Rainbowmoon and Shadowmoon faded away, but their spirits lived on, until this battle was to happen again.
The End.
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed my story. I will be doing a sequel to this about Sunny the Espeon and Shadow the Umbreon, children of Summer the Espeon. Again, thank you for reading.
