Maybe Something More…
Disclaimer: ARGH! I hate writing this; it only succeeds in telling me that I have no money. I hate life. –sulks in a corner-
A/N: For all of my fans who have been wishing for this pairing out of me. Here you go, shounen-ai. Enjoy!
He sat there, doing absolutely nothing. Alright, that was not entirely true, he was doodling on his test, but still, it wasn't doing his test, like he was supposed to. Then again, why was he even staring at the boy in question? Disgusted, mostly at himself, Seto Kaiba shook his head and returned to his test, filling out the correct answers after only reading the question halfway through. It wasn't long until the one he stared at did something new again, erasing the doodling and scratching the back of his head as a whine/grumble past his lips. Oh, those lips. Smooth, parted slightly as a puff as air past between them, beautifully colored and… moist? The lithe tongue slipped by, wet the succulent lips again before teeth grit with despair as his brain worked overtime. They were probably soft, a perfect mold for his own… Disgusted again, Seto returned back to his test, for maybe the umpteenth time that day.
A perfectly well groan rang out, sending chills up Seto's back. The groan meant failure as the test would never be a passing one but still, it did something to Seto. His stomach lurched and melted into a hard lump, his heart fluttered several beats and his breathing increased. What does he smell like? Is he a good kisser? What does he taste like? No! He shouldn't be thinking this, he can't be thinking this, and he won't! But still, dark chocolate eyes slowly slid their way to meet his own blue. Red stained both sets of cheeks as both sets eyes shyly looked away. This wasn't fair. They both know that they have feelings for each other, why not act upon them?
The bell rang, seats were scraped across the floor and papers were passed in. Breeze from the crowded hallway spread throughout the room, filling his nose with his smell. His smell was even sweeter than his appearance, was his kiss even better than that? Light bounced off his hair as if it was meant to be admired, his laughter filled the air, but most of all, it was his smile, that caught attention. Though he hung out with his geeky friends, Seto still looked straight at him.
They weren't friends, they never will be, but it still made Seto's heart skip a few beats whenever he looked right at him, eyes staring at eyes, souls reflecting off of each other. No, they were rivals, nothing more. Occasionally, he would smile at him, just out of politeness, Seto keeps telling himself. They can't be because they shouldn't be. His friend, slightly taller than himself, nudged him, not realizing that his balance was off. Seto caught him, not realizing that he did out of instinct, treasured the feel of him in his arms. Though he straightened up, the two didn't snap at each other, glare at each other, or even move. They just stared.
The girl said something, snapping Seto out of his trance. Saying a snide remark, he turned and sauntered off, wishing to hear his voice, even if it was filled with disdain. Nothing, no remark, no comment, no insult, just silence. Though he walked with a slightly slower speed, he didn't catch the footsteps behind him. Without warning, without any word, lips met his and arms held his own to his sides. The world seemed to stop right then, as if a picture was taken and his soul was trapped inside. Parting, shy eyes opened and looked right into his own before he left, running back to his friends. Maybe Joey Wheeler could be something more…
