History:
During the wars of the Old Republic, the Kaminoans were instructed to create a race for the Sith. They could be as fierce as Mandalorains then the senses of and abilities to use the force with a mere thought or look like the Lothwolf. Those the beasts were hunted to extinction to create this new race.
These poor breed slaves had no name for themselves. They were raised to fight and die along with hate all but their masters. They were worriers, servants, and entertainment for their cruel creators and masters. That is until they revolted.
A select few began to help the Jedi. Brining intel and freeing the prisoners. When their masters saw this they started to threaten the others but that is when the slaves realized they were stronger than their masters.
After the fights are over and the Sith just about wiped out, there was just one thing left to figure out. What to do with this new race. It soon became clear these beings desired to be on a single world. After many trails of trying to communicate with the barely verbal young race, they were finally able to find the planet; Lothal.
The Jedi found Mandalorains trying to round up the people that were there. They chased them off with the help of those that had first rebelled. Snarling as they protect what they guessed is their families.
After questioning the worrier race, they found the Mandalorains had no idea who made this race they called Mac Tires, meaning wolf beings. They told them the Sith simply left woman and children there and it was easy pickings for slaves.
With that confection, the Jedi made a declaration of guardianship over this young race and planet. They would be under their protection for all times or until they can speak for themselves.
Mac Tires did have a cast system for many years. Head Alphas, the first rebels, were the royal families to their packs. Alphas were considered aristocrats living right next to the royal families. Betas were middle class and guards. Then Omegas, the servants and peasants.
But this, along with pack fighting, ended after one harsh summer that left all sides with little to eat or water. In order to survive they had to depend on one another. To make sure everything was fair the leaders picked those they trusted on each side to gather and divide the supplies. This is how the Guardians were first started, with the lead of this group becoming advisor to the now chiefs of the lands.
Culture and Society:
As Mac Tires grow and began to understand the world around them they developed a culture all their own. The Head Alphas are now chiefs of their own lands each of their homes in the middle of their three main cities; Amber City, Ruby City, and Sapphire City. The Guardians looking after each of them.
There are still Alphas, Betas, and Omegas. Yet that no longer determines their work or love. And Mac Tires mate for life.
All their cities are in an Old West style yet powered by shards of kyber crystals. The crystal lives are so long that they don't need to be changed for lifetimes. These crystals are also used in their Bayard weapons for their core and for coming of age ceremonies.
[Amber City]
Amber City is in a large cavern surrounded by a ring of mountains with one entrance or exit through those said mountain caves. Due to the mountains being covered in kyber crystals no weapons work inside the walls. For that and the security of the high walls, Amber City is where the Guardians Academy resides.
Amber City is also known for its hot springs. Many in the Republic find it a very relaxing place to go when on vacation. Mac Tire women often are drawn there to have their pups as this was where they were born and kept back when they were first created.
[Sapphire City]
Sapphire City is more of an island. It is surrounded by the fresh water with four long strips of land that connects it back to the rest of Lothal. It is mostly a fisher city but it is also known for its blacksmithing.
Sapphire City is smaller than the other two, but does just fine. Many go there to swim in its clear waters and dine in the restaurants that overlook the water. When the suns set over the surface it shimmers like sapphires.
[Ruby City]
Ruby City is the one you see when landing on Lothal. At the four corns of its edge is four giant kyber crystals, if an attack was to happen they would light and collide creating a red energy barrier.
Ruby City is also a week of wagon travel to each one. The city is also a mix of both cities as the center point of the planet. It is mostly known for its trade in furs and other goods.
[Guardians]
Guardians have different colored buttons to symbolize their ranks. Gold is for the Head of the Guardians. Silver is for the hunters and healers. Then bronze is for the academy students.
[Holidays]
Blue Moon is the holiday to celebrate the change from spring to summer where the two moons are full for three days. But it is also a time where young pups are given their crystals to symbolize the beginning to change from pups to adults. It is a wonderful time with much fun and joy. There are games and food for all to enjoy. On the last night there is a dance where many Mac Tires end up howling to the moons until sunrise.
Blood Moon is more serious holiday. It begins after the harvest of all the farms. After wards it is time to rest and reflect on the year. This is a holiday to be with family and remember with all, reflect on the past and plan for the future.
Pink Moon is a week long holiday at the end of March. For kids it is a time for candy and cards. For teens it is a time to confess to your crush. And for young adults, it's time to find a mate at the Howl and/or exchange mating gifts.
The Howl is an event that happens at the end of the week. It is when couples face a sort of challenge to prove their love. The girl finds a place to sing and the guy has to find her and join in. Sometimes new couples are made here or crushes finally confess. But it is a delight to see teens during their first howl. Or young adults finally exchange mating gifts at the end.
Mating gifts can be something as simple as a bracelet of as extravagant as a music box. Many are bought but those made by hand give them the most value to those on Mac Tire.
Biology and Physiology:
Mac Tires are human wolf hybrids. They are sentient and able to speak like any other humanoid. But they are also very instinctual like a wolf and mate for life. They are also able to adapt to the world around them. Though techno cities are not for them.
Because of their animal senses there are somethings that can bother them. High pitch noises can hurt their ears, cause headaches, or in very rare cases it can even cause death. Their noses are also sensitive to smells around them but this does not bother them as much and adaptable.
Mac Tires have a few distinct fetchers. They have furry ears where human ones would be and long fluffy wolf tails. And their most dazzling feature are their eyes. They are either a shimmery gold that reminds many of the sun or buried treasure or a silver that reminds all of star light or the moons above. Their eyes glowing in the night making them even more dazzling.
As for Mac Tires reproductions; there are times each season where the people go into heat. This is usually during the start of each season where they feel that call the most.
Mac Tire females have a pregnancy of four months. During the first week they begin to cling to their mate and nest; meaning they'll collect things to make the house or room more comfterble and safe for the pup or pups. Week three is when the morning sickness and cravings begin. At one month is when you can tell the genders and how many there are. Mac Tires are able to have up to a litter of five pups though litters are rare in modern day.
Mac Tire pups start teething around three months. Once they start watch out, they'll chew on anything they can get their fangs on. At six months they begin to crawl around and starting to hunt; most of the time starting off by trying to catch their parents tails. At a year they begin to speak. If they have abilities they will also begin to show around this time. After that development is much like humans.
