New Beginnings

Chapter 1
Hermoine Granger, the top witch of her 5th year, was sitting at a desk in her hotel room in Jamaica,
writing an extra credit report on how to become an animagus. Strangely enough, she was having trouble keeping
her mind on her work. Finally, she gave up on it, and decided to go down to the beach. She put on a bright blue
bikini and a pair of sandals, and walked out the door.
She had only been laying on her towel for 15 minutes, when someone walked up to her. "Well, well, well,
Hermoine Granger," a male voice said. Hermoine looked up, and she saw the last person in the world she
expected to run into; Draco Malfoy. "What are you doing here?" she asked. "I'm waiting for my father to
return from his expedition to convert the small magical population around here to You-Know-Who."
He shuddered inwardly. "I detest the lot of them. he muttered. "That makes two of us." Hermoine stated.
"Want to go for a stroll?" Draco offered. "I'd like that." Hermoine added.
They had been walking along the beach for 5 minutes when Draco wrapped his arms around her and
kissed her passionately on the lips. Without any hesitation, she kissed back.
For the next two weeks, Draco and Hermoine spent almost no time apart. They ate together, swam together,
and made out together. The only thing they didn't do was sleep together. One day, they both received their
school letters. Ironically, Hermoine was named Head Girl of Gryffindor, and Draco was named Head Boy of Slytherin.
That same day, they left by Floo Powder for Diagon Alley.
