Soon is Sooner then you Think.

A/N: Okay. So, I just finished watching Puss In Boots (I'm sick.) and loved that last line. In order to do something with Aya and Shi, think of the two as Kitty Softpaws. And think of Kimimaro, as Puss.

"I'll be seeing you, Aya-Chan." The words were smooth as silk. The young Kaguya smiled up at his Vixen-like friend. The young Haruhana and her fox looked down at him with a smirk. "Soon is sooner then you think." Aya grinned. She turned to look at her large, kitsune friend, both his tails waving. In his mouth, the bone from Kimimaro's ribs hung. Kimimaro let out a chuckle, his eyes locking with Aya's gentle blue-ish grey eyes. "See ya around." The young Anbu slipped her mask on, falling backwards off the ledge she stood on, Shi following close behind. The was the last glimpse he got of his green and blue haired friend.

That was three years ago. She still had the bone. It was one of Shi's favorite things to play with. The young Anbu looked out her window. It was the dead of night. Her large fox partner was sprawled out on the floor, snoring heavily. Aya threw a pillow at him, causing the fox to grunt. She chuckled lightly, getting up and pulling Shi up onto her bed, petting him. She loved the fox dearly, but would never admit to it. Just as she had never admitted her love to Kimimaro. Even with every chance that arose.

Blue and green hair, split halfway down her head. Marking's that resembled fire on her neck, arms and legs. Blue and grey eyes, all hidden behind a mask she had to wear for everyday outings. But for what purpose? Well. The simple purpose of keeping a Village safe. She was still a part of the Konoha Anbu Black Ops. And he was still missing. She told him 'Soon is sooner then you think'. But why hadn't she gone to find him? Or the other way around. She couldn't help the fact that she missed the Kaguya.

She lay back, her fox sprawled out across her stomach, his tails dangling limply off the bed. The young woman chuckled. "Kimimaro... were are you?" she sighed. On that exact moment, a bone came straight through her window. The Haruhana jumped up, and the blind fox Shi, jumped onto his feet. Seeing the bone, Aya silenced and stopped the fox, snatching the bone up quickly. "It's human.." she murmured. Her blue and gray eyes widened up, and she spun around. The bone from Kimimaro's rib-cage disappeared.

"Come out now..." she growled. Shi sat down, his two tails wagging. Where Aya was strict, and sometimes cruel, Shi was easy going. A blur of white hair soon came into her view. No, it wasn't Setsuko's. Nor was it Kakashi's. The two red marks on the forehead, and the protruding bones from his back? Aya knew who it was without questioning. Jokingly, Aya turned to look at her clock. "I guess soon is right now, hn, Kimimaro?" She smirked, as a grin spread across the Kaguya's face.
