Dare is a Four Letter Word

By Persephone

Hey! Here's a new little silly-fic that I've centered on my least-favorite character. I know it's very short, and I'm sorry. I just couldn't make it any longer. Anyway, I hope ya'll enjoy, and, as always, please review! Thanks!

Evan Daniels stared at his fate. It was a bad fate; there was not a doubt in his mind about that. He was going to die. That much was obvious.

"So," The sinister voice continued. "What form of exotic torture would you prefer?"

Evan knew it was a trick. The torture he would prefer was blazingly obvious. So all he had to do was say that he wanted the torture that he didn't want, and he would get the torture he wanted. Reverse psychology, man.

But, what if it wasn't? What if he actually got the one he chose? He was screwed either way. Why had he done that? Why? He really was an ignorant little brat. But...

It had almost been worth it.

"Well?" The sinister voice continued. Evan began to shake. There was not much time left for him. It was one or the other. The batter or the frying pan. The rock or the hard place.

He never should have put that camera in the girl's bathroom. What had possessed him? Possession. That was a good excuse. Maybe he should use it.

"I was possessed." Evan said. The owner of the sinister voice stared at him like he was stupid. Evan chose to continue with his story. "By a Peeping Tom. It was freaky, man. I couldn't control myself at all. I was thinking the whole time, this is wrong, man. Dude, you shouldn't do this. No, man, I'm not telling you where the film is. But he just took over my mind. I couldn't stop him. I tried, too."

Why was he still getting that look? It was a good story. Oh, wait. Telepath. Now it was time for a new story.

"I'm very sorry, sir. It was very irresponsible of me." Evan tried now. Responsibility worked for Scott when he stayed out past curfew. The look stayed the same. "I'll go apologize to the girls." Evan offered, while thinking, and sell them the extra copies of the tape.

The glare intensified.

Gulp.

It was official. He was never, ever playing Truth of Dare with the new mutants again. He remembered Jubilee's mischievous grin. "So, Spikey, what's it gonna be? Truth or Dare?" He had known better. Sam had just been dared into hitting on Logan. Amara had had to kiss Toad. He knew it would be bad. But the question they were going to ask him...

"Well?" This time the inquisitor sounded very impatient.

At least he didn't have to tell them the worst place he'd ever popped a spike.

"Danger Room with Logan." Evan said quickly.

"Good choice, Evan." Professor X said. "I'm sure your aunt would have been much worse on you."

Gulp.

The End

Please review, and leave any random thoughts you want, especially interesting ways to kill Evan. Thanks!
