GenderBender Zutara.
Takes place during The Crossroad of Destiny.
While Zuko and Katara or Zuka and Kataro are in the Crystal catacombs. In which
Azulon(Azula) is the older brother, and Zuka (Zuko) is the younger sister.
Kataro (Katara) is the older brother and Sokki (Sokka) is the younger sister. Aanga (Aang) is still 12.
Making Kataro 16 and Zuka 14.
The circumstances they found each other in was unbearable to Kataro, he did not want to be trappedin the catacombs with firenation like her. When she was thrown down the chute the water bender couldn't believe it.
"What are you doing here? Aanga isn't here." he snap at her when she hits the ground in front of him.
"My older brother threw me in here, to make sure I wouldn't ruin his little plan," she responded coughing because the guards shoved her down to the ground.
"This is a trap isn't it? A trap for Aanga, so you can finally have her in your evil clutches! Well, I'm not buying it. You're trying to ruin the world's only chance of peace. You have no idea what this war has caused me, me personally." the water tribesman shouted at her. "The fire nation took my father." Kataro turns to cry into his knee, it was shameful for one to cry, but his father was all he had, and he was gone.
"That's something we have in common."
"What happened to your father?"
"My aunt had just lost her daughter, and my grandmother was dying. My mother wanted the throne, and convinced everyone that my Aunt was not fit for the throne in her mourning. So my grandmother was going to put her through what my aunt had gone through, the loss of a daughter. She was going to kill me. My brother came in and taunted me about it that night, I'll never forget it. That same night my father came in and told me that everything he did was to protect me. He said he loved me and disappeared. No one has heard from him since. The next day, my grandmother died and my mother was crowned FireLady."
"I'm so sorry, I didn't know."
"Most people don't."
"I'm sorry I yelled at you before, it's just that whenever I thought of the enemy, your face came to mind."
"I see," Zuka reached up and touched her scar. That fateful day that had been burned into her memory and onto her face was known to everyone who mattered. She tried to cover it was the hair that surrounded her face, hoping to hide it.
"No, it's not that at all," Kataro was tripping over his words, trying to mend what his words did the the fire nation girl.
"Yeah it is, this stupid lesson my mother tried to teach me. It's a burden. It's different. It's easy to notice. It makes me someone I'm not. It's damning, and it's ugly, it makes me ugly, and worst of all its permanent."
"Let me trying healing it, I have healing abilities,"
"It's a scar, it won't heal," she reputed fast, as if she has given this idea thought before.
Kataro holds out a small cylinder, "This water is from the North Pole, it has special healing abilities. I've been saving it for something special."
Zuka was still turned away, feeling the roughness of the area around her eye. "No, it may be hideous, but it is a reminder to me who I am, and what I need to accomplish in order to gain my honor back." Zuka turned around and started walking to where she was sitting before.
"For what it's worth, I think you're beautiful. Even your scar is beautiful. It's a shame you feel like you need to hide it." Kataro walks over to Zuka, and sits right in front of her and tucks the hair from her face behind her ear.
"There."
The wall behind them crashed down and Aanga and Irah came in.
"Zuka!" Yelled the older General.
"Kataro!" burst out the young Avatar.
"Auntie!"
"Aanga!"
