Could See It In Your Eyes
I could see it in your
eyes,
A twinkle amongst the
blue.
I could feel it in your
arms,
The warmth bestowed
upon you.
I could see the way you
shivered
At my every waking
glance
And the way you held me
close
During every single
dance.
I could hear your
steady breathing,
As I slept deep in your
embrace,
I could taste the
sweetness of your lips,
And feel my heart begin
to race.
I could see into your
heart,
A
window to your gentle soul
And know you were the
perfect one
To
fill with love that waiting hole.
I could always sense
your movement
In a room a mile away;
I could hear your
thoughts so clearly
Throughout the night
and day.
I could even share your
dreams,
Our minds were so
entwined,
And live with you
forever,
'Cause you were
always on my mind.
But then I saw another
face
Claw its way back
through your door,
And I felt the warmth
inside me freeze,
My
heart emit a silent roar.
I
never knew that love could cause
Such everlasting pain,
And make that rainbow
disappear;
Now only clouds remain.
But I can only hold out
hope
When you catch my
desperate gaze,
That love will lead us
down the path
Where
the sun will shine its rays.
For
I can see it in your eyes,
That light that's
meant for me,
A sign that she's no
longer the one
You want upon your
knee.
I can feel your touch
upon me
If I only close my eyes
I can hear you whisper
in my ear
Words so comforting and
wise.
And I can wait forever
For love to stride
ahead
As it flies past the
finish line
And into heaven's
bed.
For I can hear your
soul cry out
A longing, wistful
song;
And
I can feel it in my heart
That
I won't have to wait for long.

Reflected in my own,
The love that ties a
bind so strong
It can never be unsown.
