We may only have tonight,
But until the mornings light.
I will hold you in my arm,
And keep you safe from any harm.
I will hold you close and never let go,
And forsake that other life I know.
For now you are min and min alone.
In this world we call our own.
Never jugged for how I feel,
Never wonder if its real.
Never alone and never lost,
I never have to bare the cost.
As rapidly as the day will come,
Like the betting of a distant drum.
I will find myself in that world so cold,
But for tonight you are min to hold.
In this world with you I sleep,
For now my heart is yours to keep.
All to soon from you I must part,
And face once more my broken heart.
I hesitate to part my eyes,
As we say our last goodbyes.
I must except the mornings gleam,
And wait again, till next i dream.
