He released three exploded tags at time, hit three separate trees. She stumbled at bit at his unusually action. Her thoughts remained on the uncharacteristic moved he made just moments ago. Neji cleared his throat distinctively. Tenten's gaze reverted to his, and she leaped skillfully onto the branches. He followed her movements with his mauve eyes. Another 'tag' flung near a tree, and she instinctively dodged, waiting for it to crumble. She jumped back, noting that the tree was still intact, perfect as can be. Her features calmed and she eyed the kunai. Tenten narrowed her eyes to see a sterling aquamarine ring dangling from the string. She gasped softly, looking at the Hyuuga below. Withdrawing it from the bark, she descended downwards and questioned his intentions. Neji enlightened a promise in which that he would forever protect from harm and be her friend.
Tenten melted and jumped into his arms, muttering abundant thank yous.
Feel free to write an extended version of this, I just did a quick short-handed version of a one-shot. Aquamarine is Tenten's birthstone, just an FYI. And that ring is not a birthday gift. [;
