Fairy Tale: Silent Musings
Misty Ariel Waterflower dressed in a light pink nightgown for the evening, already for bed was looking out of a very large window half covered by long drapes over looking the grande and beautiful city in which she lived, Cerulean City. A place where water was every where and of course water pokemon were worshipped. Large statues of many water types were placed all along the city to be put on display. It was of course the wealthiest cities in all of the Kanto region.
The red headed eighteen year old was not your run of the mill average teen either, no she was one of four princesses that lived in a very large castle, right in the heart of the city. Which also doubled as a Gym which specialized in water types and she was the sole Leader there. She had three older sisters Daisy, Violet and Lily who were all close with one another despite the age gap. But, they were all they had of an actual family. Unfortunately, their parents who were the King and Queen of the castle passed away recently, they died in an unfortunate helicopter accident just a few months ago.
Her life though, it was all an illusion painted up sort of like a beautiful and very expensive oil painting that took weeks to complete. It was real, yes but it was boring and proper- to her everything around was simply fake. Since birth she and her three older sisters have been gifted with the finest things in life. Thrusted into a world where she felt like a prisoner in her own kingdom, her friends were all royals from other places like Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. She was not familiar with any one in Johto due to the royals being far too old or Kalos because they were under a seperate ruling, so there were no kingdoms there but she conceded that one day she would like to visit those two places.
She actually never even met any of the citizens who lived outside of her castel's large cast iron gates. A mote equiped with a variety of water types even helped to create a sort of barrier to seperate the commoners from herself and her family. The people from the outside she got to meet were the occasional challenger but even then it was stifling, she pretty much only battled and then fled- having no actual conversation with said trainer. She yearned for a different life she wanted action, she just wanted freedom. People envied her and her sisters where she in turn envied those who got to walk around and expierence life, freely. How ironic, she had everything regal at her disposal but felt like a prisoner.
She laughed at how untrue 'fairy tale' novels actually were. Yeah she had cooks, maids and bulters in that sence but, there was nothing lovely and magical about the life she lived. Though they did create lovely bedtime stories but, those were just it ' stories'. The books the maids read to her many years ago as a child were fables made up years ago by people imagining what it would be like living the life of a 'royal'. For eighteen long years someone always did something and everything for her. She wanted to live a normal life and to fall in love, she wanted to find true love. That was the only thing she actually liked in those stories she was read years ago, being a romantic herself, that was the parts of the novel she would rather be read to, not that other made up stuff. But, she did not want your run of the mill snot nosed stuck up prince either. She wanted a real man who worked hard and was humble and simply amazing. Someone that loved her for who she was.
Soundlessly her azurill jumped up to the window to gather her attention,"azurill azu azurill"
Thinking things over for a moment she thought ber baby pokemon was right, she should just leave, it was the only way she would be able to get out of there, alone.
"Hmm. Alright then azurill, I'll take you and a few others along with me, we will leave late tomorrow evening",Misty said quietly so no one would accidentally over hear of her new plans.
Looking back out the large window she tried to look beyond, silently musing and wondering what kind of life was out there for her. With that she climbed into her bed and her azurill accompanied her. She dozed off feeling anxious and excited.

In a small quaint town near a vast sea was a rather famous check point in the Kanto Region. There lied Professor Oak's research laboratory. He housed many trainers pokemon there while they were away on their journeys as well as gifting them a starter and a pokedex.
It was late as Professor Oak sat in a small two story home of very good friends of his, Delia and Ash Ketchum.
"I have to say Delia this was rather delicious yet again" The aging professor stated at the dinner table.
"Yeah mom's cooking is always the best. It's my favorite thing about coming home!" Ash Ketchum happily agreed all the while making his mother blush.
"Thank you!" Delia smiled at the praise she received from her delectable spread on the dinner table. The mother of one always managed to out do herself everytime she whipped up a meal.
"Well Delia I best be going home, it is getting rather late. Oh and Ash my boy, be sure to stop of at the Lab in the morning I have a favor to ask of you then."
"Alright, I will see you first thing then Professor."
"I'm going off to bed mom. I'm pretty tired"
"Alright honey, I'm just so glad you are actually home instead of traveling. It's nice when you show up"
With that Ash walked up stairs and into his childhood room. He was eighteen and the youngest Pokemon Master to achieve the title in history. He was very humble and strikingly handsome, he stood roughly at six feet tall.
Sighing,"Pikachu, I wonder what he's going to have me do."
The young master was getting ready for bed, tired as he traveled back from the Orange Islands. He met up with Gary Oak, apparently he needed assistance with a few ressurected fossil pokemon.
Ash laid there thinking to himself, he thought in a rather short period of time he managed to achieve alot. But, he still craved 'adventure'. He met many friends along the way who are living out their dreams. But, there was something missing, his heart felt well empy. His mom was always pestering him about finding a wife or a girlfriend, he always told her he was too busy for any of that. Truth was, he just never found, the one.
He turned over on his side,"Maybe, who knows. Something will happen and I'll meet her..."
He whispered quietly, mostly to himself as pikachu was already long passed out beside him.
His eyes fluttered asleep and within minutes he was passed out.
