Subject: Can you control your staff? Please?

Jenny,

I hope this email causes you a headache worse than mine. I have just had to listen to people from Operations wondering what the hell I do for a living. Apparently, we have had a security breach of our ultrablack files, the ones that don't exist, in any way, shape or form.

According to Special Agent Causton, NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs is in possession of several documents that do not exist, yet detail operations that have never taken place, if you get my drift. It has taken me more than three days to placate the other deputy directors from storming NCIS and placing its agents under arrest. One thing, and only one thing has stopped them. We have no proof of a security breach.

As you know, we have state of the art firewalls here at the CIA. A breach of security via a computer is supposed to be impossible. All of the non-existent CIA ultrablack files are not located on our main servers. They are supposed to be inaccessible, accept for a single computer, which is only turned on when these files that don't exist are accessed. Tell Agent Gibbs he is a very lucky man.

Now, let me tell you what happened. Special Agent McGee.

Thats what happened, those three words, Special Agent McGee. Timothy bloody McGee.

I don't know how he did it, no one at the CIA or NSA does. But that man has managed to do the impossible. Jen, that computer is not linked to the Internet. Its internal modem has never been activated. The computer is not part of the network. Somehow, Timothy McGee has accessed these files. I need to know how he did it.

If he won't tell you, there is very little to threaten him with, like I said we have no proof.

However, for the sake of my headache, I beg of you, control your staff. If I have to write another of these emails, I will allow my colleagues to arrest Gibbs and McGee, just so I don't have to deal with them. Understand, Jen, this is for my sanity.

With thanks,

Daniel.

P.S.- next time, tell McGee to hack the FBI to his hearts content. Don't care if they get headaches.
