A/N: Okay, this is NOT a Marie-Sue. I checked, and my character has flaws! For once, she is shy.

Anyway, I do not own any of the Harry Potter stuff. If any other data needed in here, please state politely. Thank you. Please read and review.

Cassandra Ellis was like any other female seventh-year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Aside from her bright green eyes, nothing about her was of an outstanding nature, and she got along her years at school as another half-blood teenager, who did her homework and went home to her mother on Christmas and Easter holidays.

But this year was not like the last one, or the one before that one for her. In fact, she had never known such a feeling like the one that filled her chest, and made her sigh at unexpected moments, causing her classmates to stare at times. And it wasn't her final exams, the dreaded NEWTs (Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests) what brought upon her such load of emotion, although she was concerned about doing alright on those, but a completely different thing, a thing she had never experienced before. Cassandra Ellis had a serious crush on her Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Remus J. Lupin.

If she had been asked what was so amazing about him, she would have been at a loss. Even when she questioned herself about this particular matter, she was lost for words to define her feelings, but her cheeks would definitely go flaming-red, and she'd try to hide her embarrasment upon his walking inside the classroom to start class. She couldn't help the jolt at the pit of her stomach everytime she looked at her timetable, and noticed that they had Defence Against the Dark Arts next day, and the previous classes in both Tuesday and Thursday, Potions and Charms, were filled with expectancy and for the first time in her life, she actually wanted the Charms class to finish quickly. It was a pity, and she knew it, because Professor Flitwick had been her favorite teacher since first year.

But it was inevitable for her. She kept a look on her watch almost every ten minutes, and her grades on those were dropping alarmingly, which had her classmates worried, because she had always been an excellent student. Professor Flitwick himself had noticed, and had talked to her, one day after class, about it.

'Miss Ellis, I see you're having trouble this year,' his little voice squeaked. 'I'm rather surprised. Are you alright? Is something troubling you?' He said to her. Cassie knew the answer to that question, but she also knew that it wasn't something you could say to your Charms teacher. 'No, I'm fine. I'm just ...' she said, in a low voice, '... worried about the NEWTs, that's all.' She smiled slightly. Professor Flitwick nodded, approvingly. 'Alright then, you'll only have to work extra hard this year, and don't worry. You're an excellent student, you'll do fine, Cassie.' He said, and gave her a long list of books to read on the subject.

Cassie thanked him, and hurried towards the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, outside which his classmates were already gathered. Maya Whitbread, Cassie's best friend, was talking loudly about a wonderful dressing robe she had seen at Diagon Alley to the rest of her female classmates. They all were rather giggly. Cassie slipped in the crowd, and waited, with bathed breath, for the door to open.
