NOTE: I do not own Knight Davion, he is a character in Defenders of the Ancients.
As Knight Davion trudges through the snow, flames stream through his nostrils and flew out his helm. Snow licks his armor only to be turned into steam in the blink of an eye.
Knight Davion, the Dragon Knight, is well known for his fortitude and sturdiness. Undefeated till now, as he faces an invisible enemy...Hunger. Only his unusual metabolism is shielding him against some of the cold. But even the Undead need to eat (do they?), and so do Draconians.
He has wandered without food for a week now, a feat impossible to be accomplished by any normal human. Three days at most, and they would perish, a mere hour in this cold.
He was clumsy; he had let his guard down. And the Scourge casted a strange spell on him, A Banishing Spell, maybe. He wasn't sure; he had explored and found nothing he recognizes.
He slushed through the snow, his movements sluggish, and came to the edge of a cliff. His vision was blurred by the strong winds, but it was obvious that there was no life in this God forsaken land.
Now, on the brink of death, he apologized for the actions he is about to make. He looked up at the sky and asked the Elders to lend him their strength.
His pupils lightened, his skin scaly, his teeth grew into fangs. And in a burst of light, in place of where Knight Davion stood was an Elder Dragon.
A Blue Dragon, a creature of grace and elegance, its habitat being the snow. The transformation renewed his strength and lifted his spirits.
Burrowing the sacred strength of the Elders to survive this cold and soothe him from the hunger was a purely selfish deed. However, deep down, Knight Davion knew that his survival was important to ensure the safety of others...many others.
It brought back memories of his comrades, how they have put their lives on the line for each other, how they fought back against waves upon waves of the Undead.
He flapped his wings, which brought him joy, for being an Elder Dragon was an incredibly wonderful feeling. He looked forward to finding some civilization, to find shelter and feed himself.
He would kill for a piece of bread right now.

Author's note: Alright, I'm REALLY new with FF so I have NO IDEA how to upload things with a nice format. Hopefully someone can help me out, please c+cc. I love reading people's comments on my works. BTW, undead DO eat right? I mean, ghouls can restore HP by consuming bodies...so...yeah?
