We are human not puppets or toys that the world can control that is my belief I didn't wish for powers to change the world nor did I really ask for it.

I was never born to be the enemy I was born to defend but those who chose to be my enemy took that chose away.

When I awoke in a new world I took those who believed in me and protected them.

I could take other's pain away and in this world that was my defense. I was nature itself no family but those I made.

-awakening redwood forest-

Her heart thumped as she awoke in a world not her own x men evolution was a show that was good but ended suddenly without much warning and here she was was looking like one except for not having the suit she was blonde unageing pale skin and we'll she had the cat mask In hand.

But she learned quickly she wasn't normal. She could sing a certain song and manplate the world around her rather it was earth water extra she could manplate light and dark and her wings angel like wings allowed her to fly she in a sense had the abilities like an angel.

She then had an idea of making her own group. She started with a sad child one in a asylum. She took her out at a young age and made sure no one would find her.

One by one they gathered to her she'd either heal them help them in a way or something else that made them flock to her. And in a sense she became a leader teaching them teaching Wanda.

-Years later Xavier's institute-

Charles Xavier had gotten an alert from cerebro about a new mutant. This time, it was a girl named Kitty Pryde. She was the second to be found in the area she lived in. The first being a boy in a foster home named Lance Alvers.

Little did they know they weren't the only ones looking into Kitty and Lance.

-Kitty's high school-

A portal opened 4 people came out one had blonde hair and a cat mask on as well as pale skin the girls eyes could be seen kind and another was a girl with red hair that went up to her neck and red lipstick a red jacket and long jeans.

There was a boy with pink hair blue eyes a rock t shirt and torn jeans.

"Blue Jay, are you sure Echo sensed a mutant here." The girl in the red jacket asked the one in the cat mask looked around.

"Two, as it turns out," Blue Jay answered. "Another one awakened last night. She said this one's a girl."

"A girl? Hope she's pretty," the boy with pink hair remarked.

The boy with blue hair rolled his eyes Blue Jay's was his name for a reason. He transformed into a blue Jay to check the area out the girl with the cat mask walked away. "Wanda, come please."

"Coming," Wanda said while going with her partner.

As they walked past the kids in the area they saw the girls laughing at Kitty. The one in the mask hummed some music under her breath a vine grabbed the girls ankle as she jumped causing her to fall face first in the sand. Her group laughed at her expense.

"Nice one," Wanda complimented her friend.

"Well she deserved it hey, Demonic, let's show these humans what happens when you mess with mutants." the masked one said to the pink haired one.

"Thought you'd never ask," said the pink haired one. He made a little demon like creatures and sent them towards the humans they saw and screamed running off some of them even got into the hair of the girls.

Kitty screamed and ran off, bumping into Jean Grey along the way.

Demonic laughed at the screaming. The masked girl walked over into the auditorium gesturing for Wanda to follow her. Wanda nodded and went with her.

Inside the auditorium, Kitty screamed in frustration and knocked down a bowl of prop food. She tried to catch it only for the bowl to fall through her hands. She nervously reached out to touch it, it was solid.

"It's okay," said a kind voice. Jean was walking into the room to her.

"Who are you? I bet you're friends with that rar ra Riley," Kitty said while grabbing a mask.

"I'm not Riley's friend," said Jean.

"Well you look like you'd be her friend," said Kitty while hiding her face behind the mask.

"There's no need for masks," said Jean. "I'm here because of your wonderful new gift."

"I don't have a gift, just a curse," Kitty said angrily.

"Only if you let it be," said Jean. "Kitty, I want you to watch me for a second."

Kitty waited for a moment while Jean reached out her hand. Suddenly, the mask floated and hung back on the wall. Kitty was not expecting that.

"You see? I'm like you," said Jean. "One day, I woke up and I had this power. And, trust me, I hated it too."

"I-I don't believe you!" Kitty said in denial.

"No. No, you do believe me. I know because of my other gift. I can read your thoughts," said Jean.

"Well stay out of my head and leave me alone!" Kitty yelled before running away.

"Did you assume that it would be so easy to get her to want her abilities." The masked girls voice asked as they walked out of the shadows.

"Yeah, red goddess, it's never that easy. In fact this is just how others get to them first." Dominic laughed kneeling on the masks girls elbow.

"Who are you?" Jean asked.

"We're the outsiders." Demonic smirked evilly. "We don't like humans cruelty so we get even."

Jean glared at them. "Get even how?"

"Not your problem," Wanda coldly said. "Just stay out of our way."

"I will as long as you leave Kitty alone," Jean said in defense. "What she needs is guidance. Professor Xavier can give her that. Like he did for me."

Wanda scoffed and said, "That bastard is the last person she or Lance needs."

"Wanda was stuck in an asylum since she was 12 because Xavier wouldn't take her with him. But I freed her." The masked women coldly told her. "I will offer her freedom and if she chooses she can join us. Just as Blue Jay, Wanda and Dominic chose."

"What about me?" Lance asked, having been listening. "How can I get in?"

"It's up to you. We don't force others to do as we wish like Mystique and Magneto and allow you the freedom you want." The masked woman said in a calm tone.

Wanda interrupted. "Within reason."

Lance smirked and said, "You guys are talkin' my lingo. Sign me up. Maybe I can help get Kitty on board."

"You leave her alone!" Jean shouted angrily.

"Why? Don't you want her to choose for herself?" The girl in the mask asked. "You act like I'm the bad guy….or are you scare she'll actually choose us."

"What I want is to help her. And, frankly, I'm not sure that's what you'll do," Jean replied in a serious tone. "Professor Xavier and I both just want what's best for Kitty."

"Too bad." The masked woman said walked away from her to find kitty the other two smirked.

"Well that's our cue to take care of you princess." Demonic coldly said. Punching his fist.

"Don't mess with me!" Jean warned him.

"Oh, sweetie, it's you who shouldn't mess with us. Especially Wanda." Demonic smirked he summoned some demon like creatures to attack Jean.

Jean used her psychic powers to catch the demon in midair. Using her will power, she threw the creature away. She suddenly felt her own powers betray her and she blasted herself backwards. She looked up to see Wanda with her hand sparking.

"Hahaha she's so dumb she thought she was gonna win...we promised to protect M. She saved us so we'll give our very lives to protect her. Right, Wanda?" Demonic asked in a gentle tone.

"You know it," said Wanda, crossing her arms. "And you, red, can just call me Scarlet Witch. No one harms M."

-with M and kitty-

Marissa found Kitty quite quickly. "You're scared, aren't you?"

"I'm not scared," Kitty said in denial. M did not look convinced. "Okay, maybe I am. I'm also confused, and feeling kind of alone, like an outcast. I mean, I've only met, like, two other people who could do things most people can't. Not sure how well you understand."

"It scared me at first too. Except with how people treat those who are different even without powers people can hurt you that's why sometimes it's best to fight back and sometimes it's easier to work with others to protect each other and sometimes get even but it's your choice if you don't wanna do something you don't have to but I can teach you if you'd like." Marissa offered her hand as if to say you can take it if you want.

Kitty looked like she was thinking about it. "Can you really help me?""

"Yes I can but it's up to you. If you don't wish to join us join Xavier he will teach you just as well as I can." She took Kitty's hand humming a bit a rose grow from the ground below.

Kitty looked at the flower with amazement. "You did that? With your power?"

"Yes lovely, isn't it? My power can be beautiful and destructive that's why I wear this." She gestured to her mask. "If it were removed I could cause a lot more damage this make restricts my power."

"I wish I had a power like yours," Kitty remarked, looking at her hand. "All I do is go through walls."

"I think your power's amazing and more useful than you might think again it's your choice I will not force you but Mystique would." Marissa took her hand as if waiting for her answer.

Kitty thought it over and then said, "Can I think about and give my answer after school?"

"Of course." M said she turned around letting go. She removed her mask for a moment smiling at her. "Whatever you decide I will support you. But talk to Jean as well get both sides."

She left. Kitty smiled at the memory of the masked woman. She was actually giving her the freedom to choose her own path. She would talk to Jean again and learn more about Xavier, and then she would make her choice.

-With Jean-

Jean was still recovering from the beating she got from Scarlet Witch and Demonic as she left the auditorium. She told Professor Xavier what happened through telepathy as she walked.

"I'm a little worried about that M woman. If Kitty goes with her, she might end up being encouraged to misuse her power," Jean said to the professor.

"You said M was going to let her choose, right?" Professor X asked. "Just give her a reason to consider ours."

"You think that'll work?" Jean asked.

"Honestly, I'm not sure. But M made a good point. In the end, it's Kitty's decision. We can't make it for her. All we can do is tell her why you made yours," Professor X said. "Besides this M may need to be taught as well."

The girl did seem calm and almost like she herself had her own problems but that didn't mean they could get her to join.

Almost immediately, Kitty arrived. "Hey," she said.

"Kitty? What are you doing here?" Jean asked.

Kitty hesitated for a moment and then said, "Tell me about Charles Xavier."

This took her by surprise. She didn't think itshe would even let her explain him much less let her talk to her.

"You wanna hear about him?" Jean asked.

"Yes," said Kitty. "M said she wants me to make my own choice, and I wanna know about Xavier before I make my choice."

It was quite for a moment before Jean spoke up. She told Kitty everything she knew, everything Charles taught her about controlling her powers. Jean explained that he teaches her and others how to control their powers and be apart of everyday life. At the same time, Jean assured her that the choice had to be hers.

"I think I, like, know what I want to do. I have to talk to M. I hope she won't be mad though." Kitty said in a both sad and hopeful tone.

Jean took her hand and said, "If she truly cares about you, she will not stop you. But I can go with you if you want."

"Yeah that would, like, be very helpful." Kitty told her.

-with m after school-

M waited for a moment. As kitty came with Jean next to M was Lance. "Lance has chose to join us. What is your choice Kitty?"

Kitty took a calming breath and said, "I appreciate the offer, but I'm going to the Xavier Institute."

Wanda looked a little angry as did Demonic and M was unreadable because of the mask but M turned around. "Come now. She made her choice."

The three turned around to follow M, and Kitty said, "Thanks for understanding."

"Just know if we have to fight I won't hold back. But I'm happy you found a place to belong." M said stopping in her tracks. Before walking again.

"That was unexpected," said Jean.

"You mean her just letting us walk away." Kitty asked in confusion.

"Yeah," said Jean. "I was expecting her to try to make you join. But I guess I was wrong."

"I don't know her well enough to give you everything but she just generally seemed to want what's best for me. Even going as far as to tell me about another group that I shouldn't join…. I don't know M's kinda odd but different. She looks scary with the mask but I think she just wants to protect mutants even if it means fighting back."

"Well, if you wanna seek her out, I doubt the professor will stop you," Jean kindly told Kitty.

"I might wanna talk to her sometime…..but I think she might have more mutants then those 3 that were with her." Kitty told Jean which seemed to worry her.

-in a mansion-

Marissa arrived in a fancy house were there were several other people around them. There were 23 in total and Lance made 24. "Welcome. One of the mutants who joined me provided this place."

"It's nice." Lance said looking around.

"I know. The rules are pretty simple no stealing and try not to start fight. You're allowed to stay up and you'll be able to do what you want if someone attacks or try to attack another mutant but only as retaliation you can practice in the training room and you will be going to school otherwise go nuts. Fair?" They asked in a simple tone.

"Sounds fair to me," said Lance. "Sorry Kitty couldn't join us."

"Her loss, pal," said a girl manipulating water.

"That's Aqua. She can manplate water her real names Sympathy." Blue Jay told him a smile formed on blue jays face.

"Nice to meetcha. My name's Lance," said Lance. "But I think it might be appropriate to call me Avalanche."

"Nice. Echo will make your outfit. She makes the outfits." Aqua said she pulls up the school they were going to. "We're going to Belleville. You've already been signed up as was Blue Jay and Demonic his real names Dominick. M will also be going her real names Marissa by the way...also you're not allowed to tell anyone she's the leader."

"Anything else I should know?" Lance asked.

"Breakfast is at 9." Aqua answered with a smile. "Set your alarm."

"You bet," said Lance running upstairs.
