Our Last Kiss

Edward tried his hardest to braid his hair with trembling fingers, but to no avail. There was only one word to describe how Ed was feeling now: nervous. He raked his fingers through golden tresses and tried again, cursing as he failed.

A knock came on the door and Winry's voice questioned him, "Edward, are you ready?" she asked.

Edward groaned and opened the door for her, "No." he muttered.

Winry wore a lavender formal dress that suited her well, even with her stomach showing her being seven months pregnant.

Edward scowled, as she chuckled, his hair out of it's usual braid, and looking quite messy. Poor Edward must be a nervous wreck she thought to herself. "Here." she offered, turning him around and taking his rubber band, so she could braid it for him, "There" she said when she finished, smiling fondly, and straightening his tie, "At least I talked them out of making you wear that dress." She said to him, she did have a point there, everyone, including Alphonse, had been planning on buying Edward a dress to wear today. Winry had stepped in and informed the military personnel, and her husband as of five months then, that a wedding day should be special, and making Edward wear a dress would not make it special.

"C'mon." She said, placing a hand on the shorter blonde's shoulder, "He's waiting."

Edward swallowed hard, and nodded, she was right, he couldn't stall any longer.

The two men had taken their vows, and Ed was as nervous as ever. When it was time for the kiss Edward though he was going to pass out. It wasn't like they hadn't kissed before, but this one was special, it held more meaning than any other kiss the two had ever shared. It was their last kiss as boyfriends, and their first as a married couple. And what a kiss it was.
