I listened to Last Kiss like on repeat and got the inspiration from 'That July Ninth' I just broadened it out a little in order to make it a one-shot, imagining what could have happened.

That July Ninth.

That July ninth, her vision blurred as her golden locks cascaded blinding her view, she ran a gentle yet steady hand through her hair, tucking away the stray strands that were loosely hanging causing the obstruction.

She wore a cute yet subtle outfit; a flowery patterned summer dress that was also vintage and one of her favourites.

Her bright blue eyes sparkling as something lit up her handbag, digging through it she pulled out the vibrating device which was now known as her cell phone. Pressing a few buttons she sent back a reply, a reply to her boyfriend, Joseph, Joseph Adam.

He was there at that very airport, waiting just outside the arrivals section in his Mercedes-Benz G500.

Her black high heels hitting the hard tiled flooring as she reached the luggage carousels, waiting for what seemed like hours but was only a matter of minutes, she collected her suitcase, tugging on the handle as she dragged it behind her, making her way through the crowds of people.

Mayhem.

Excitement coursed through her entire body as she realised that this was the first time she would be seeing him in three months.

Quickening her walking pace to more of a jog, she had lost control of her suitcase more times than once although gravity amazingly managed to keep it from toppling over.

Her eyes scanned every road, every car, and every person as she inhaled the fresh scented air.

Only hoping to spot that certain person.

Her heart began to flutter as a familiar face stepped out of a car, looking even more handsome than before. He stood there in a white v-neck, a leather jacket and some skinny jeans, she recognised he was now sporting a brand new haircut and although, she had seen it in pictures and quite often decided against liking it, she knew that it suited him better in person, she had learnt that she shouldn't be so quick to judge.

His eyes met hers as they both began to walk, almost like a magnet, attracting one another.

They met in the middle, her hands almost immediately dropping her black suitcase, and making their way to cradle his face, he leant down to rest his forehead against hers, there breathing evened out one another's.

"I've missed you, Tay." His voice rang out, almost like she had pictured it to on the plane during landing.

"I've missed you too, Joseph." She cooed as she ran her fingers through his hair, or lack of, on the nape of his neck.

His pearly whites shone as he clearly couldn't hide his happiness any longer, it was clear Joseph was head over heels for his girl.

His muscular tanned arms circled her waist and pulled her closer to him, both of their heartbeats matching, both of them yearning to be even closer.

Her eyes left his as she glanced at his lips for a second or two, knowing what she wanted; he leant in and pressed his soft lips against hers.

The lovers engaged in a gentle, yet, passionate kiss.

One to make up for the months of not being able to be in each others arms.

Her whole body going weak at the knee buckling kiss, she toyed with his hair.

Slowly pulling back, he whispered through the serene silence, a soft...

"Forever and always."

That July ninth.

I know it's short but let me know your thoughts?
