A/N: Inspired by a yellow jacket landing on my arm while I was reading. I hate bees/wasps/yellow jackets/hornets etc. because I swell violently and they hurt like hell. Jen's symptoms are based on my own (luckily I haven't been stung a good long while). Please leave a review for my sanity if nothing else.
The Perils of Nature
She was outside gardening when he heard her scream. Automatically assuming the worst he ran to see what was wrong with his gun drawn. She was in the middle of her garden hyperventilating. He assessed the situation quickly and lowered his weapon after he was sure there were no intruders. "Jen, what is it what's wrong?"
"Bee"-gasp-"landed"-gasp-"on my"-gasp-"arm."
"Are you allergic? Did it sting you?"
"Yes"-gasp-"I'm allergic"-gasp-"not badly"-gasp-"I swell a lot"-gasp-"though. No, it didn't sting"-gasp-"me. I'm just scared."-gasp-"I hate bees." He stepped across the flowers to hug her.
"It's ok Jenny." He kissed her forehead gently.
