The sun was setting in Kadara. Another day of protecting the colony from the criminals was behind. And it was all for her. Reyes Vidal didn't mind that he had to protect the colony from the remaining outlaws or other groups. Reyes didn't even mind that some of the collective members had called The Charlatan a traitor for working together with the Nexus and the current human pathfinder Diana Ryder and left. The Collective would always strive. What Reyes couldn't stand was that Diana was somewhere in the Heleus Cluster doing her thing. The woman he never believed he would love so much. She was humorous and sarcastic, but very caring, strong hearted woman who wasn't afraid to show her feelings. And she was totally opposite of the woman he would usually lay with. This was a woman he would like to spend his life with. The thought of her was the first thing in the morning that made Reyes wake up, and the last thing before he fell asleep at night. This evening was no different. Reyes had just showered and climbed under the covers, before taking a data pad from his nightstand and powering it. It contained their picture. Both tipsy, Reyes showing his signature shooting motion towards the camera and Diana kissing his cheek, her curly red cloud of hair haphazardly everywhere. It was their last night together before she had to leave. They made love the whole night, not sleeping a wink. He had left her a huge love bite on her neck expecting her to be mad, but she just had grinned mischievously, and left with showing the love bite proudly around. Reyes sighed loudly, closing his eyes and imagining that lovely smile of hers before falling in a restless slumber.
Something felt strange to Reyes. Someone was running their hand in his hair. It was soothing, calm, it felt like everything was finally alright. He opened his eyes carefully and saw a shadow of a person sitting on the edge of the bed. The data pad he had watched before falling asleep was now illuminating the face of the person who was watching it. Her red hair was once again unruly. The greens of her eyes shone in the light of the data pad like emeralds. She was smiling, with the cutest little dimple showing on her cheek. Reyes stirred and took Dianas hand in to his own. That caught her attention and she placed the data pad down.
"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." She smiled apologetically.
"I'm pretty sure you wanted me to wake up.." Reyes murmured sleepily and kissed Dianas fingers. Diana grinned.
"Yeah, you caught me."
"What are you even doing here? Shouldn't you be exploring or whatever you Pathfinders do? Reyes yawned and sat up on his bed, still holding Dianas hand.
"Aww, don't be like that Reyes. I know you missed me." she chuckled.
"Yes, yes I do, but it is in the middle of the night and I'd like to sleep." Reyes yawned once again.
"That didn't stop you earlier though." Diana grinned once again and kissed Reyes on his forehead. The instant Reyes had scooped Diana into a bear hug and wrestled her to the bed.
"Well, if you put it that way Dee-Dee" Reyes grinned and started kissing Diana passionately, feeling her answering the longing and passion of the kiss. The kisses trailed from her lips to her chin and throat, all while he was removing her shirt. Diana was giggling.
"I thought you were sleepy." Diana grinned mischievously before moaning from a Reyes nibble of her ear.
"I am never tired when you are around." He grinned once more before taking her lips in his once again.
"SAM, be a good boy and go to sleep for a while." Diana murmured between kisses.
"Gladly Pathfinder."
