"Do you think we should trust her?" Pearl asked, "she can't live in Stevens bathroom forever.." Garnet had answered,"Alright, but who will talk to her? Steven is out playing with Connie so it has to be one if us" pearl continued.
Right then a shattering sound was heard from the bathroom. Garnet ran over there and kicked the door down, she gasped when she saw Peridot lying on the ground holding a hammer, her tear streaked face also showing an almost shattered gem. It was no mystery on who did it "go get Steven!" Garnet had ordered them, without hesitation, pearl and amethyst had run out to go get Steven. Garnet looked around the bathroom for something containing Stevens spit, she grabbed his toothbrush.
There wasn't a lot of spit, but just enough to heal her gem.
Peridot woke up, putting her hand to her gem she realized it wasn't cracked and the hammer wasn't in her hands. "W-what?! Why isn't my gem broken? Was I not strong enough?!" She asked herself getting up, she then looked at Garnet "did you do this?! Why?! Why did you do this? Why couldn't you have just let me DIE?!" She asked "what do you mean?! I wasn't gonna just let you shatter you're gem!" "Well, you should have!" "Why where you trying to kill yourself? Was it a foolish escape attempt?! Did you think that was smart?!" Garnet asked her, anger and disbelief in her voice.
Peridot looked down "I...deserved it..." There was a long silence "what do you mean?" She asked. Peridot Sat in the corner, "I'm a burden..." Tears started to form in the corner of her eyes "if I died this whole planet would be safe, a whole planet.." she hugged her knees as the tears started to come down "I was trapped on this miserable planet for months..I honestly don't know if I even want to leave anymore..I-I don't know witch side to take..I feel..lost" that last word came out as a whisper as she buried her head in her knees and started to cry.
Garnet was a little shocked, but quickly got over it. She slowly moved towards peridot, "idiot, nobody deserves to kill themselves, why didn't you just tell us? What are you hiding? ...who hurt you?" Peridot did not respond, only more sobs, Garnet sighed.
Peridot felt two arms around her in a tight hug, she tried pulling away from it but wasn't strong enough to. She buried her head in garnets chest, even more sobbing. "Shhh, it's ok, you hurt now but you will get over this, I can promise you that." Garnet said while rubbing her back in soothing circles. "Do not make a permanent decision because of a temporary emotion".
Peridot wasn't sure what it was, but for some reason she felt exhausted. She slowly cried herself to sleep.
Pearl, amethyst and Steven rushed to the door of the bathroom "is she ok?! Steven shrieked in concern. Their worried expressions turned into confused one's upon seeing peridot sleeping on garnets lap.
"She is sleeping, let her sleep"
Y'all know my "self loathing" story right?Well after the new episode "catch and release" I decided to update it. It still has the same plot peridot being depressed and garnet comforts her but the story is a lil bit different.
