Summer Vacation at Agate Lake
It was the middle of June, and I was anxious to go up to Agate Lake Resort during
summer vacation. I was going to be bringing my friend Lisa with me this year. I knew I
was going to have more fun this year because she was coming along. I also knew that
both of us were going to have a good time.
Lisa and I were getting very excited to get up to Nisswa, Minnesota, so that we
could start having fun and hanging out together. While we were driving up there, we were
both getting very anxious because we wanted to get up there before it got dark. I asked
her, "Are you excited to get up there?" We got up there around 6:30 PM. When we got
there, we unpacked our stuff and relaxed for a while before going to the game room.
The next day, Lisa and I hung out at the beach for most of the day because it was
sunny. We laid out in the sun because it was a nice day. I had to make sure I didn't get
burnt like a lobster while I was out there. During the time we were on the beach, I found
out that she likes to lie in the sun as well.
One day during the week, Lisa and I decided to go bowling because the weather
wasn't very nice that day. We had a fun time! I didn't do as well as I thought I would, but
I had fun anyway. I didn't really get any strikes, but I did get some spares. It was a fun
afternoon. While we were bowling, I was cheering her on. She liked that I was cheering
her on, and she did the same when I was bowling. I think while we were bowling, our friendship grew stronger because we were doing something that we both like to do.
Another day during the week, Lisa, my mom, my dad, and I went mini golfing at a
golf course called Pirate's Cove. We all had fun mini golfing. I almost got a "hole in one"
on one of the holes. Lisa got a "hole in one" on one of the holes also. I was very excited
for her. When she got a "hole in one," I said, "Good Job, Lisa!" My parents did well
also. My dad won one of the games, and my mom won the other. Another day during the
week, Lisa and I went and played tennis. It was just the two of us. We had a blast. It was
perfect weather to play. We didn't keep score, but we had fun anyway. We also did a little
shopping after we got done playing tennis.
Every night, Lisa and I went to the game room and played some table tennis and
Ms. Pac Man. We had a fun time playing table tennis. It was the first time Lisa had played
it, She did very well for her first time playing it. I was very proud of her, It was also the
first time that Lisa had played Ms. Pac Man. She did very well on that game as well. We
just had a blast in the game room.
After a week of fun, it was time to go home. Lisa and I were sad to leave. We
didn't want to go home yet. I felt the week went by really fast. I wish we could've stayed
another week. I had more fun this year that I did the year before. I think our friendship
grew even stronger because we got to spend a whole week together.
