Unknown P.O.V. I have always wanted to see the world. From when I was very small, I wondered why I was kept hidden, never allowed to leave the kingdom walls. Is it because of how I look? I'm not that ugly am I? I am always by the Queen's side. She is the one who adopted me and raised me as a princess out of the sincere and loving kindness of her heart. I have every thing I could ever want to take my mind off of leaving. I finished my training with Lilly, the greatest warrior ever in combat so intense, other warriors failed miserably in the basics , was blessed ,after helping a kind wizard find his pet, with a eternally beautiful voice that has healing powers and would always have accompaniment, know more knowledge than half of the wise men in Aaa, represent the Queen in Royal Court for inside matters, make amazing artwork, written work, and culinary creations, have trained with my father in magic and have achieved the rank of level 5,000 battle mage, a feat few people have attempted, let alone accomplish, have cultural intelligence and manners to rival some of the greatest royalty in Aaa, can use any weapon, can make any chemical or potion,play any instrument,and much more. But still it's not enough. I want to know what other places are like, to make friends besides the teachers, guardians, royals, and my brothers who are sworn to secrecy to never reveal me to others until I am a certain age because of some prophecy I will carry out that I am also ignorant of. Melody, my dear and closest friend teaches me different instruments and understands my plight. Being queen of the were-wolves and daughter of their supreme deity is no picnic either. But at least she 's seen places and met tons of people. At least she can run away much easier than I can. And my brother talks of this pair of sisters who have saved Aaa thousands of times along with some of his friends. I wish he was less shy so he could get them to meet me. I think he said their names were Fionna and Cake. How I long for the day I can put the skills I have learned to the test and to make new friends Who knows, I might even meet Fionna and Cake on my journey. But for now, I will be patient. 16 is almost coming and I can hardly wait!
Normal P.O.V It's a bright beautiful morning in the Hidden Kingdom and an important day. The ambassador for an important event in another kingdom and it's the princess' birthday. A huge crowd is at the palace and a huge ceremony is about to start.
Turtle Prince P.O.V Where is she? That girl is so hard to find when things are important. She must be getting ready for the celebration in her honor. Oh well, girls will be girls and it is her birthday after all. Mother certainly made an excellent choice for a sister to play with. She's smart, funny, talented, and has a good heart. Not to mention beautiful. I had to make L.S.P. Royal Promise not to reveal that she was pretty to the other princes. Had they known, she'd be flooded with suitors every hour of the day. I think something similar might happen with P.G. and Marshal Lee once she arrives at the Candy Kingdom. Probably scramble for her attention. Flame Prince is very devoted to Fionna so they should be fine. There she is! "Happy Birthday, sis," I say as I give her my gift. "I used the pelt of that demon fox you killed last week to make you a hat since his fur is your favorite color, purple. It can transform to any type of cloth device: clothing, jacket, blanket, you name it! Some of my friends will be at the Candy Kingdom so you can meet them. Be sure to give them the gifts Mother has packed in your sack The maids have already packed all of your things in your purple satchel," She was speechless, overcome with joy as tears streamed down her face. I gave her a comforting hug to get her together. She was crying so much my shell was getting waterlogged. "You okay, little sis?" I asked her to make sure if she was okay. "I-I 'm fine big brother," she managed to stammer out. "I'm just so happy and you made that just for me. Before you make any protests, I made you a goodbye present. Mother said it was crucial to give you a proper goodbye," She got out a big cake that had 'I'll miss you big brother' written on the top with icing. And it was chocolate, my favorite. Soon, we were both blubbering like babies after that. Once I calmed down, I told her that Mother was waiting for her in the lounge. She thanked me with a kiss on the cheek and left. That girl is too sweet for words. She's going to do great in the Candy Kingdom.
Unknown P.O.V. I feel so happy and yet so sad. I am glad I get to see outside the rest of the world, but a tiny part of me is sad to leave my beautiful kingdom. Mother did say this is a diplomatic trip and my first outside act as Princess of the Hidden Kingdom. I know I am going to the Candy Kingdom for their Millennium Anniversary Festival. I hope Mother will help me be prepared for this. Oh thank goodness, I found her!
Turtle Queen P.O.V. "Ah, my daughter, you look very lovely in that purple gown," I say to her as she walks in. Her cocoa brown skin contrasts nicely with the purple silk. And her long, curly,black hair is flowing around her lovely face. Her warm brown eyes sparkle when she smiles at me, full of love and joy. "Hello, Mother," she greets me and we embrace. "I'm so excited for the diplomatic opportunities that I am going to experience in the Candy Kingdom and the important events that I will see," she says with such positive energy."But I will still call and write you and my brother often," She adds with genuine joy in her voice. How I love all of my children deeply. With my 5 hatchlings learning the skills they will need from my husband and Turtle Prince balancing his royal duties and his social life, it gets so lonely here. My daughter has truly been a blessing from Glob above since all of my biological children are males. She's committed to her studies,beautiful, immensely talented in many fields,and has a kind and loving heart. The palace staff were immensely fond of her as a baby and treated her like family. The royals that are our allies are immensely fond of her as well, and a few had developed little crushes on her while in royal tutorship. Being so smart, sociable and very pretty helped her gain opportunities in fields others had not even heard of. The crushes had found love of their own, and she too shall find her own. "The ceremony will start in 3 minutes so everyone to their places," I announce and everyone goes to their places. The ushers begin to let the citizens in and we begin the opening ceremony.
Unknown P.O.V. As the ceremony begins, Mother stands in the center of the balcony and begins to speak: "Citizens and royalty, I stand here before you all to announce the official coronation of our newest princess. May I present for the first time, Princess Barbara," She beckoned for me to come forward, and as I walked to my mother, the audience grew silent. I sat on the throne in front of my mother as she placed my tiara on my head. She touched her staff upon my shoulders and said, "I dub thee 'Princess of the Hidden Kingdom'. May your reign be long and prosperous," I then stood up, and began my speech. "Friends, brethren, and country-men, I am one of the very few female leaders in our noble society, and to me, it is an honor beyond compare. I may look back on this day, and smile at this pleasant memory. I look forward to working with you to better Aaa in a bright future. I hope to bring honor to our kingdom on my diplomatic journey,"I salute the crowd and walk from the balcony. The ushers send the citizens home so the staff can decorate for the party. They will stay at home since the party is a royal event. The royals were staying in the Palace guest rooms so they go there instead. A female werewolf floats over to me and gives me a high five. I look up and grin. It's my friend Melody."You were awesome in your speech, Barb,"she says as she floats down to give me a hug "Does this mean I have to call you Princess Barbara now? Your highness," I laugh as she bows and curtsies formally. "No way, Melody," I say as we enter my room. "I'm still getting used to the title. What do you think I should wear?" She looks through my closet and pulls out a blue and purple striped top with jeans and black flats. "What about this for your party?" Melody asks me. "Not too girly and not too casual. If you don't wear it, I certainly will," I ponder over the items until something catches my eye. I pull out a purple and turquoise top and my favorite white skinny jeans and purple boots. "You can wear it if you like, I'm wearing this," I show Melody the outfit and she approves. "Nice!" she says and looks at my jewelry box. "But without proper bling it lacks shine," She takes out my silver charm bracelet and my turquoise necklace. "You take the necklace and I'll use the bracelet," I tell her. "The jade brings out your eyes and my mom made the bracelet," Silver only makes werewolves drowsy, but it makes them irritated. Mel drops the bracelet quickly and we put on the jewelry. As we change into our clothes, Melody tells me that her dad is making her come to the Nightosphere for a business trip, so she'll be in the area while I am on my diplomatic trip. Once I put on my crown, we walk down the stairs and enter the lounge. The royals are seated on various chairs, so we sit on the couch with my brother and his girlfriend, Princess Alexia, who was cursed by a wizard to be a vulture until my brother freed her. She's a fairy, so she's very slim and pretty with her gorgeous wings, brown hair and blue skin. Alexia smiles and waves at me and gives me her present. "Don't open it 'til we have cake, Barbara," she says. "Sheldon and I worked really hard on it. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!" I thank her and fist-bump my brother. Melody hands me a flute she made that's also a sword. "You kept asking to borrow mine so I made you your own," she tells me and I give her a bear hug. The other princes, various royalty and noblemen hand me their presents, and I place them all in a neat pile next to me. The head usher announces that the ballroom is fully decorated so Muscles Prince carries my gifts inside and places them on a small table. I thank him with a hug and some of guests are shocked when I am not crushed. He's getting some looks from two other princes but the festivities commence. We have karaoke on so Acoustic Prince judges me against Melody, and I win. She's second best so she doesn't mind. Once they sing 'happy birthday', my mother cuts the cake and every one takes a slice. " It's my personal recipe so dig in every one," Mother says and we all enjoy. When I open my gifts, Mother puts them in my inter-dimension carrying case so I can enjoy them on my trip. As the party draws to a close, I thank everyone for coming and I board the train to the Candy Kingdom. As I wave goodbye, I shed a few tears and go to my private car on the train.
