DISCLAMER: if I was a literary goddess such as J.K Rowling, I probably wouldn't be posting this story on and Bill said "I Do", Harry couldn't help but steal a glance at Ginny. She hadn't said a word to him since he had arrived at the Burrow. Ron had told him that she had become depressed since Dumbledore died, but Harry knew that this wasn't the real reason. He knew that it wasn't because he too was extremely depressed; but like Ginny, let everyone think that it was because of Dumbledore. But he knew, he hoped, that it was because she was missing him just as much as he was missing her.
At the reception, Ginny was nowhere to be found. Ron and Hermione were dancing, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley were getting drinks, the twins were off – no doubt planning a prank, and Charlie was flirting with some girls from Fleur's side.
Harry left the reception, and went to look for Ginny. He found her, sitting by the shores off the lake located in Godric's Hollow. He went and sat down next to her, not saying anything. Ginny didn't even acknowledge that he was there, and an awkward silence that surrounded them.
"Hi Ginny"
Ginny lifted her head slightly in acknowlegdement.
"So, hows your summer been?"
"Hm"
AWKWARD SILENCE
"Look, Ginny, you know what I said when Dumbledore died? You know its true. Voldemort will go after those whom I love."
Ginny looked up at the word "love".
"But, its killing you and I anyway, making us suffer, which is exactly what he wanted. What McGonnagell said last year was right; Dumbledore would have been happier if he knew that there was a little more love in this time of suffering."
Ginny was looking at him with tears in her eyes.
"So, Ginny, I know that you suffered on my account already, but I need to say this."
"Ginny Weasley, I love you."
Ginny started crying, and said,
"Harry, you are SUCH an idiot!!"
With that, she grabbed him and started kissing him passionately. He kissed back with full force. She broke away, and said,
"Harry Potter, I love you too."
