When Claudia came home from school, there was a woman in a tan suit with brown hair pulled up in a bun holding Owen.

"What's going on?" She put her violin on the floor. Bailey looked at her. Julia walked up behind her. Bailey looked at Julia before speaking to Claudia.

"You have to go with this woman Claud." His voice was shaking.

"Why?"

"It's just for a little while."

"No!" She grabbed onto Bailey and cried.

"You have to be brave for Owen."

"Why do I have to go?"

'I'll talk to Charlie. We'll get you back."

"Charlie said I wouldn't have to go! He said we'd stay together." Bailey hugged Claudia tightly and looked at Julia. Both of the siblings were crying.

'We don't have a choice Claud. Take care of Owen. He needs you." She nodded and wiped her nose with her arm.

"Do I need to pack a bag?"

"No time." The woman finally spoke up.

"What about my violin?"

"It might be better to leave it here Claud."

"My lessons?" She exclaimed.

"You won't be able to practice for a while. We'll get it to you." The woman practically pushed Claudia towards the door. Claudia grabbed a hold of Julia and they hugged each other. Julia wiped the tears out of Claudia's eyes while she had her own tears dripping from her eye lashes. Julia kissed the top of her head and let go as they walked out the door.

"Why did this have to happen? Charlie said we'd all be together."

"You're old enough to know it doesn't work that way Julia!" Bailey exclaimed. "Charlie is doing his best. We're all orphaned here, not just you."

"Well Charlie didn't have to stand here and watch them take away our sister and baby brother did he?" Julia walked out of the room leaving Bailey alone. He looked down at Claudia's tent bedroom and kicked it.
