Disclaimer: I don't own CSI, or Christmas for that matter.

A/N: It's rather short, I know and I also typed it with false nails on (which proved to be difficult and probably resulted in a few errors here and there...at least that's my excuse)

As Ecklie had already banned a staff Christmas party, Catherine and Greg were decorating the lab.

"Make sure you two stay away from my office", Grissom joked, stepping into the room. There were tacky red and green streamed everywhere.

His eyes scanned the room as if he was at a crime scene "Ecklie's not going to like this…"

Catherine shrugged "He has to get into the festive spirit at some time, 'tis the season to be jolly, right?"

"Something like that", Grissom grumbled, leaving them to it and heading back to his office.

"He needs a woman in his life", Greg said staring after him "a damn good one".

Catherine laughed "Grissom doesn't have time for women".

"Hey, mistletoe!" Greg exclaimed, lifting some from the old cardboard box of decorations Catherine had brought in. He held it above his head and puckered his lips "What do you say?"

"I say you get this stuff out of my lab", Ecklie's voice boomed from the doorway.

"Come on Ecklie", Catherine pleaded "it's just a bit of Christmas che3er".

"Yeah, yeah…haven't you two got cases to solve?"

"Warrick's wrapping our case up", Catherine told him, laughing a little at her pun "So until Grissom re-assigns me, I'm free".

"Sanders?" he asked.

"Uh…I suppose I should go find Sara…"

Ecklie mumbled something inaudible before following Greg out of the room.

Catherine picked up Greg's discarded mistletoe and smiled to herself, watching Warrick walk past.

"So, my theory is that the girlfriend faked her own death, and then shot our vic and planted the wife's prints out the gun", Greg blabbered to Sara.

She heard enough to burst out laughing "Sure, if you can prove it's even possible to plant finger prints correctly on a gun and GSR on the suspect's clothing. Not to mention the fact that we have no proof Amy Collins faked her own death".

"No…but I'm working on that", he insisted.

"How's your case going?" Grissom asked them, walking up behind.

"Greg has some…interesting theories going", Sara told him.

Grissom smiled "Actually Sara, I needed to talk to you".

They stopped outside the break room and Sara told Greg to go on without her.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" she asked once Greg was gone.

"Christmas", he explained "I was wondering what you thought about a Christmas party at my place".

"Hey what's come over you? I thought you were on Ecklie's side on this",

"Admittedly, I'm not the most sociable of people…but it doesn't have to be a big party".

"What were you thinking?"

"You, me, Warrick, Nick, Catherine and Brass…maybe Greg if he's lucky".

"Sounds great!" she grinned "What gave you this idea?"

"Oh, it's never too late to get into the festive spirit", he smiled, eyeing the mistletoe above his head…
