Chapter 1 – Living Through Death

I'm Spyro. Of course, you might already know who I am. I'm a purple fire breathing, flying, dragon.

My friend is Hunter. He's pretty cool. He hangs around me because he said that we've been friends forever. My other friend went off to become an expert of the beach. That's why she went to Mermaid Coast.

But I've always had another friend. He died, but he's still alive in my heart. He was a dragon like me and his name was Gyroscope.

Gyroscope used to follow me through my adventures. We were rivals and we were best friends. I teased him when he said that he wouldn't come with me when I went to fight the Rynocs. He got mad and came with me. And that's how hedied.

I've always felt that it was my fault. Hunter said that the fool shouldn't have tried to Well, it always pains me. But I'll tell you howhe died.

It was a Monday maybe. We were walking around the trashed Mermaid Coast. We were going to find and crush those Rynocs. We were a lot younger than now. The Rynocs were attacking me and I really thought I would die. If Gyroscope were not there, I probably would have. But my best friend came charging through, stopping them. They all came at him and Well, you know.

That's how he died. I guess he lived through death, though In my heart.
