None of this is for real, this was just part of a project I had to do in my
Oceanography class. We all had to design an organism and how it related to
the environment in the below factors and then present it to the class. So
I did it as a news flash, etc, you can pick the rest out yourself.

Rainbow Algae

Within the next week or so will be a grand celebration of the International Society of Algae. Marking the 25 anniversary of the foundations success since it was created in 2005. On this special day the two scientist plan to release the full version of their findings on an intelligent form of algae that had been found a year back in the Atlantic Ocean.
These two scientists have left a quick overview out into the hands of a few selective individuals. A copy of this document has been included as follows:
Location : These organism have mainly been found within the Sublittoral Zone of the ocean, as well as random spots within lakes and rivers. Movement of this form of algae is based on human or animal activity, being carried by something else.
Food requirements: This algae seems to be a branch on the red algae but significantly changed in substance requirements. Clean, fresh air and water is needed to feed the algae. The release of these substances is always in an unpurified state.
Shelter: This algae doesn't have much for shelter, it relies heavily on its protective acids.
Protection: This algae has some form of acid inside of it which is believed to be the cause of clean substances being changed into the chemically altered dirty air and water. Predators do not like the taste, nor does anything live long if they have eaten large amounts of this algae.
How does it adept to its environment?
The only reason we can come to conclude as to why this change is taking place is because of an intelligence gene that the scientists have found within. They are showing sings of memory and learning abilities, but to a greater extent than the octopuses.
The figure in which these algae spread come within is by a copy of whatever image of view there is nearby. If there is a tree near the lake, the algae may grow in the shape the tree on the surface of the water.

Not much is really known of the age and life span. In the year so far, there have been no signs of any difference from the first production and an adult. There also have been no signs of how they reproduce. They will not do so before human eye, and have learnt to cover the hidden cameras during production.
The release of this information will be on April 12, just tomorrow... There are to be no video cameras, recording devices, or any sorts of equipment to record or copy information present during the release. It is to remain top secret! ~_^
