It has been years since the Titans disbanded.Beast Boy and Raven had married. Cyborg and Bumblebee were in a serious relationship.StarFire had gone back to her home planet and Robin became Nightwing. Then one day Robin recieved a note from StarFire saying she was visiting and would like to see him.They met in the now abandoned Titan Tower.
" Been a long time ,StarFire."
" Yes it has. Congradulations on your engagement. Barbra is truly lucky."
" Oh that, well the engagement's off. She couldn't get a certain bat out of her head, while I couldn't get a certain green eyed girl out of mine. I heard you got married."
" Yes but he died in battle over a year ago."
" I'm sorry to here that."
" Yes ,he was a sweet man and we did get along well considering it was an arranged marriage."
" Raven had told me it was arranged to bring peace to your planet.Took everything in me not to go there..."
" Raven. How is she? I haven't seen her since that night that I saw you two..." StarFire winced at the memory. Raven had been turned evil by one of their enemies and although it was a short trip to the darkside it had caused lasting damage. Namely when Raven had kissed Robin and he didn't exactly pull away from the kiss.Of course StarFire walked in on them.
" Better. She and Beast Boy live in Gotham."
" I knew they would end up together. They are what you humans say ,complement each other. What the other one lacks the other one has and together they...mesh."
" Yeah , something like that."
" So you go by Nightwing now."
" Yeah. Batman has trained a new Robin and plus my ...issues with Batman I thought a name change was in order. Starting over in a way.
" Me too but I couldn't get you out of my head. I...miss you."
" I miss you too. Do you think maybe we could try again. I know it won't be easy but living without you is much harder."
" Time heals. Your the reason I came back."
" Can I be the reason you stay?"
StarFire smiled." Will see. For now let's enjoy the present and not think of the future."
They kissed.
