Disclaimer: I know nothing, of course!

In book six, it seemed that Tonks often spoke to Molly for advice. At the end of the book, Molly told Remus that he was "talking a poor line" when he told Tons he was too old, dangerous, etc for her. I wondered just what Molly Weasley would say to man who was being too stubborn to notice the sweetest thing to cross his path!

This fic is dialogue only and was first published on my blog.

Molly: Tonks was just here, Remus.

Lupin: Oh?

M: Yes, poor girl. You could talk to her, you know.

L: …

M: I mean, more than a hello.

L: Molly…

M: Remus, she loves you!

L: No, she thinks she loves me. She can't.

M: Why not?

L: I'm a werewolf, Molly.

M: SO!

L: It's… just an attraction to the dangerous. That's all. She's an Auror, so she's just attracted to the darkness. The danger… you know.

M: Uh-huh.

L: Something abnormal. Something odd. The novelty.

M: Uh-huh.

L: People don't love werewolves.

M: Men! I swear, you are so dense! Do you ever think she doesn't see you as a werewolf?

L: Impossible.

M: Why is that?

L: I AM a werewolf.

M: No, you're not. You're not a werewolf who becomes a man. You are a man who becomes a werewolf.

L: There's no difference.

M: There's all the difference in the world. Of course, sometimes I think you are neither.

L: What?

M: Honestly, I swear you are an annoying little brat who sees nothing but gloom and despair.

L: MOLLY!

M: IT'S THE TRUTH, REMUS.

L: But we live in dark times!

M: YES, I KNOW. Remus, Arthur and I had all seven of our children during the first war. You never know what will happen tomorrow. You do care for her, don't you?

L: Erm…

M: Yes or no, Remus?

L: I swear, I don't know how the twins get into any trouble with you as their mother.

M: Answer the question.

L: erm… murf

M: Pardon?

L: Yes, I care for her. But I'm too old….

M: Hardly.

L: ..too poor…

M: Hurmp! Try raising seven children on a Misuse of Muggle Artifacts salary!

L: … too dangerous…

M: Let Tonks decide if that's true. I dare say, she knows danger.

L: You aren't going to make this easy, are you?

M: Remus, Arthur and I married young during a war. We had children young during the war. People told us to stop, wait, to let the war be finished before we began our family. But you can't let the war ruin your life, hold you back, keep you from loving. If you do, Voldemort will have won!

L: You can't really believe that love conquers everything, can you?

M: ….

L: Never mind...
