Welcome to My Nightmare by Eve-the-Charlotte

Pairings: None.

Number fourteen of my little series. I'm pretty sure Dani Moonstar and Danielle M. are referring to the same person, so this will be posted under both. Anyways, enjoy!

Danielle Moonstar stared out at the stars, wishing for someone to hear her prayers. She just wanted to die at this point. Her people shunned her for her abilities and even her grandfather couldn't look at her. All because of her curse! All because of the fact that, if she got angry enough or scared enough, the person behind it would see visions of what they feared more than death itself, if their greatest fear wasn't death, that is.

Her abilities manifested the year before, when the local boys decided it would be funny if they took her things and waved them in front of her, just out of her reach. What happened next was a deadly surprise. The boys began to scream, tearing out their hair, scratching at their skin, begging for the terrors that were haunting them to leave. Dani ran out of fright, hoping whatever was tormenting her attackers would not hurt her. It was reported that, as soon as Dani was out of sight, the visions ceased and the boys came to their senses.

That was the first incident. As Dani grew angrier and angrier, so did the amount of anguish those who hurt her did grow. Finally, one of the villagers put two and two together and got four, seeing as the person figured out she was the cause behind the plague of madness striking down upon many of the denizens of Wolf Creek. The villagers then turned on her with a rage she had never before encountered. They drove her to the attic of her house, making sure that, once she was there, she wouldn't be getting out anytime soon.

So led back to her situation, which left her pleading with the heavens for help, for she did not wish to be a monster anymore than the villagers did. As she looked down from the stars to the mob gathered at her door, she bitterly thought to herself, 'Welcome to my nightmare.'

That was kinda short, but, oh well, review!
