Dave Rygalski was staring questioningly at the card in front of him which read: "Lane Kim and Zack Van Gerbig invite you to their wedding." Other details like dates and parents names were held inside the letter but Dave couldn't look away from the header.

Thinking back on the time they all spent together felt weird. The memories tinged with guilt and regret. He allowed a smile to slip on to his lips. He hadn't talked to his former band mates in years, it really was his fault that he had no clue that Zack had fallen for Lane. Yet here it was, a wedding invitation from his former best friend and his ex girlfriend. An invitation that almost screamed 'you may have given up on us but we haven't forgotten about you'.

He wondered how Mrs. Kim took it. It had taken him forever to work his way into her good graces and even then he never assumed she would have allowed his marriage to Lane. She had made that clear after the time he had stayed up all night reading the bible just so that he could take Lane to her prom.

That was a fun night, Lane capturing it all in photo. The camera practically glued to her hand. He wondered vaguely what had happened to all of the photos. Maybe he could get her to send him some; he wouldn't mind having a few.

He pictured his crazy blond haired friend standing next to the small Korean girl. You had to admit at first they seemed an unconventional fit but as he thought over it he wasn't so sure. They both loved music in a different way than he did. He loved music for the intricacy, the feel of it, but they, they breathed it. Music was their world and an escape that both of them needed: Lane from her over protective mother and Zack from a father who left him without so much as a goodbye. As he thought it over it stopped seeming weird to him and his only thought became: "of course they found each other." With that he smiled at the thought of his two friends finding happiness.

"Hey Erin?" he called onto the bedroom where his girl friend was working on school work.

"Yah?"

"How do you feel about going to an old friends wedding with me?"

He wondered if Zack got the marriage jug.
