This is my newest fanfiction, centering around Rufus and a character I made up, named Hope. (I did this because I don't ship Rufus with anyone from the FF7 world.) So yes, there is an OC. She will not be perfect, though, and I hope it does not turn you away from this story. I hope to update soon. Read and review!

To Whom It May Concern,
I write this letter in hopes that the next person who comes by it will understand. I am here to tell you about my short, but freedom-filled life. I was a young woman raised in a well-to-do family, who, upon certain circumstances, turned her life to piracy. I have seen horror, felt betrayal, and thought of rebellion. I only did what I had to.
My reader, life can take you in many directions. There is no room for having your life dictated for you; you must learn about yourself, and be able to help yourself.

At this time, the only hope that remains in my life is my name and in you. No hope have I in the man I once loved, nor in the battle that lies ahead. The only thing I fight for now is remembrance. To be remembered; not a blink of an eye in the life of this world, but a legend, a story to be told.
