Author's note: This is a poem I wrote a few years ago. I found it a little while ago, and it kind of reminded me of the Cliffhangers.
I don't really know what it's about, but if you have any ideas, please let me know! Feedback, good or bad, would be very appreciated!
Forget all you know
And all you've heard
They aren't worth a thing here
Where the lost wait
In silence so cold
Forgotten
As they fall between the cracks
A plan long turned over
A tear falls as eyes shift away
No room for hope throughout the dismay
Forget all you know
And all you've seen
They aren't worth a thing here
Where the lost remember
The world of ashen shadows
A voice is heard and heads turn
A flicker of hope
A soft goodbye
Quiet returns as the world turns its back
Beneath the stars aren't we all the same?
Yet shadows still lurk as the cold drops
Forget all you know
And all you've felt
They aren't worth a thing here
Where the lost hide
Beneath the words so coldly spat
Ignoring the fear
As the loneliness sinks in
Waiting for the world to remember
They pray in silence
Hoping to be found
Thanks for reading :)
