Season 3
Episode 1 – Dawn of a New Era
It has been three years since the Digidestined have battled with Blackwargreymon. The original six have now graduated from high school, and moved on to college. Taichi and Sora are engaged, and the rest of the boys are fighting over Mimi. As for the Armor Team, Miyako has flourished and the two Americans (Michael and Wallace) are fighting over Miyako. Daisuke and Takeru end are still arguing over whom Hikari likes better. In the meantime, Kaizer and Iori always poke fun at the two.
The fourteen Digidestined take a trip to the Digital World to greet their digimon. The reunion was very heartfelt and filled with tears. The digimon belonging to the Armor Team explained that their Digieggs would do them no good, for they were now bits of deleted data. The Armor Team wondered how the Digieggs could have been deleted, when two digimon attacked them. They found out that these digimon were Kuwagumon and Stimon, the first digimon who attacked the Digidestined. The Digidestined tried to make their digimon digievolve but the only two digimon who capable of doing so were Agumon and Veemon. Flamedramon and Greymon defeated the two digimon, but in the place of the two digimon formed 8 new digivices. Daisuke, knowing that this may be the day the torch must be passed, he grabbed the digivice with the crest of courage. Suddenly, the digivice, as well as the others floated out of his hand, and shot into his D3. The digivices of the rest of the Digidestined transformed into a different digivice. They flashed bright with a message:
"THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE NEW DIGIDESTINED WILL BE CHOSEN. YOU HAVE NOT BEEN FORGOTTEN. NEW CHALLENGES AWAIT, NEW DIGIMON WILL BE BORN, AND NEW ADVENTURES WILL BE FOUND. GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND YOUR DIGIMON. A NEW ERA HAS BEGUN. – WIZARDMON"
This began a new adventure for the Digidestined team: what will the new digivices do? Who are the other new Digidestined? What fate lies ahead in the next episode of Digimon: Digital Monsters?
