Disclaimer: Although I believe in miracles, owning Doctor Who is probably not going to happen any time soon.

Done for fanfic 100 prompt #38; Touch

Enjoy!

Amy gritted her teeth, tears of agony threatening to pour down her face. A sob escaped her lips as red pooled in her vision. Red was everywhere, it was all she could see. Her flesh burned with every miniscule movement, her limbs crying out in utter torment.

"Amy, please let me help you." Rory sat by her side, his hands fluttering over her body in an attempt to help, to take her pain away.

"Rory, just go!" she gasped out between labored breaths, "I'm fine." She winced, another spasm of pain shooting across her shoulders and down her spine.

"Please." He begged, reaching for her hand, then thinking better of it and drawing back. He looked into her eyes like he was trying to keep her from breaking, like she was something too delicate to touch.

She couldn't move, couldn't respond, couldn't do anything except lay there and whimper in pain. "It hurts," she whispered finally, trying and failing to move her arms towards her husband at her side.

"Shh… I know, Amy, I know." He tried to console her, wanting more than anything to wrap his arms around her delicate frame. His hands ghosted over her forearms, and she let out a low hiss of pain.

"Amy…"

"Don't say it." She closed her eyes and grimaced, trying to still her body and stop the pain.

"Amy, I told you…"

"Don't you dare," She gasped again, her angry pronouncement sending waves of pain across her body.

"I told you to put on sunscreen!" He finished, shaking his head. "You're ginger for God's sake!"

She scoffed, shifting her bright red skin to a less painful position. "I was in a bit of a rush! We actually made it to Rio, stupid face. I wanted to get to the beach before the Doctor accidentally started the apocalypse. Again."

He chuckled, grabbing the bottle of fifty first century aloe lotion to rub on her back. He squirted a glob of the gooey substance between her shoulder blades and started rubbing it in soothing circles.

She sighed at the contact. "I lied, please stay. And keep doing that."

Rory smiled, spreading the purple-ish slime over her bare back.

Just a little shortie. :] I am , in fact, a ginger. Thus, I burn like kindle on a campfire the second I step into the sunshine. I assume the same is pretty much the same with all of my fellow gingers. The last three days I have been nursing my biggest burn of the summer, which is what inspired this little piece of fic. Not fun.

If you review, it will make my sunburn feel much better, so please feel free. :]
