Summary: Beka reflects on the events after Rhade's death and expresses the feelings that Rhade's passing brought up.
I can't help but feel sad. Rhade was my friend, my rock.We went through heaven and hell together. I cannot believe that he's gone. Telemachus Rhade, out of Majoram by Rhade, died a hero. He fought to the bitter end.
Everyone will remember his sacrifice, his courage and bravery. I never thought in a million years that he'd die. I thought that he would rejoin the crew and help us fight the Abyss. Now, that will never be. We will never forget you, Tel. Your memory will live on.
When Telemachus joined the crew, I thought that he would end up becoming another Tyr Anasazi and stabbing us all in our backs. But as the years went on, he proved me wrong. He was NOTHING like Tyr. He was what Tyr wasn't: a good and honorable man who stuck to his values and never relented. Sure, he was the genetic reincarnation of Gaheris Rhade. However, he proved to us once and for all that he wasn't like him and that he wouldn't betray the Commonwealth.
Dylan was hit the hardest when he learned of Telemachus's death. For him, it was as if Gaheris was dying all over again. HE considered him a trusted friend and confidant. Out of all the crew, Dylan and I will miss Rhade the most.
His remains(and his wife's) were never found.
Goodbye, friend. May you and your wife rest in peace.
