Prologue
Etheria. A planet known for its vibrant forests and beauty. Where magic abounds and where the people struggled with the tyrannical rule of the Horde.
For years the Horde robbed the planet of its treasures and it's magic and if it were not for the efforts of the Great Rebellion they would have conquered all.
But Horde Prime, leader of the entire Horde was getting impatient of the failures of Hordak, commander of the Horde forces on Ehteria. The semi robotic monster of the Horde merged magic and technology to scare the people of Ehteria to submission. But since a new champion had arrived and defended Etheria, it was one failure after another.
Hordak's greatest headache? She-ra, Princess of Power. Defender of Etheria and the Crystal Castle. The rebellion became more than a nuisance because of her and every time she showed up most of his Troopers and vehicles ended up in the junkyard.
And there was one more thing that Hordak hated. Former Force Captain Adora freed herself from the witch Shadow Weaver's curse and sided with the Rebellion. With her knowledge of the Horde and its ways, she was able to lead the Rebellion to many victories.
But Horde Prime was tired of Hordak's failures.
And Hordak was tired of punishment.
"Do you have anything that could stop the Rebellion witch?" Hordak snorted as he slumped on his throne. "And I don't care if half of Etheria is destroyed!"
"Horde Prime wants this planet in one piece, Lord Hordak," Shadow Weaver hissed as she walked towards him, her red robe hid her disfigured body, a price of evil. "However, I may have a spell that could keep the Rebellion busy or destroy them all together."
This better not be one of those weak ideas of yours," Hordak grumbled. "Do it!"
Shadow Weaver left the throne room and ascended to the highest tower. In reality she never wanted to use that spell. It may be to their benefit but it would also mean their downfall.
It was a spell of summoning. A very dangerous spell that no one in recorded history could undo. But she was arrogant and ambitious enough to try.
"Oh, mystic powers of evil,
May our enemies bow down and wallow,
May the world be filled with peril,
With the darkness of unending Shadow!"
Nothing happened. Shadow Weaver screamed in frustration. She had already prepared for the ritual days in advance. It would only take those four lines to complete the spell. Was it not enough?
Dejected. The red witch returned to her quarters, not realizing that an eerie fog was forming at the end of the Fright Zone and was slowly heading towards Whispering Woods.

Glimmer felt it. A strange and terrifying feeling. She did not know what it was but she knew it came from the end of the Fright Zone.
"What is it my child?" Queen Angela asked her daughter as she noticed her worry.
"I felt something's coming, Mother." Glimmer frowned. "Something sinister. I hope I'm wrong."
"As do I, my child. As do I,"
