this is my first attempt at a fanfic please be honest but kind in your review it is short as i just wanted to share this and garner the feedback before I lay out the whole story around the discovery of the distress beacon. signal repeats a short distress signal transmission sent out from a ship near the CEOs system chronicles the commanders attempt to save him self and his ship.

Computer begin recording:

3 jumps. Just 3 more jumps and I would have made it to New Dawn In Ceos. I dropped into this system to refuel and was almost immediately attacked by an unknown number of ships my FSD and defensive systems were taken out in the first volley of fire my sensors in the second, there was no warning no order for me to drop my cargo just laser fire arcing red and gold all around my ship then nothing like they just vanished, with no sensors they could still be there for all I know but it doesn't matter without major repairs to my FSD I'm stuck here and I'm running out of fuel maybe 6 hours left if I'm careful not enough to jump out of the system but maybe enough to hit supercruse if I can get the core back online and refuel if I can do that I have a visual lock on a nearby dwarf planet. I intend to try and land there. for all non essential systems that still work have been shut down and I'm running silent I have one heat sink left I'll wait as long as I can to dump it and then put my plan into action.

Heat levels are approaching critical I'll have to make my move soon if you find this message look for me on the first planet I hope to find some kind of shelter there.

Computer dump heat sink bring all systems online prepare for supercruse.

Computer overide all safety's authorization Cmdr Shinigamialan pass phrase Prometheus.

Confirm overide code "do it before I scrap you"

"Confirmed all safety's disengaged supercruse available at your command"

Computer engage supercruse open the fuel scoop and angle 45 to galactic plain.

"supercruse in 4...3...2...1. fuel scooping"

"Fuel tank at 5% capacity ALERT CORE OVERLOAD IN PROGRESS 15 SECONDS TO CRITICAL MASS"

Bollocks computer emergency low wake eject the core maximum thrusters.

"Core ejection failed 10 seconds to critical mass"

Fucking Pirates. computer launch emergency beacon at 2 seconds include this recording.

"Confirmed core overload in 5..4..3.."
