A/N: Because Charles Xavier is beautiful and you know you want him to tell you that mutation pick-up line.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own X-Men, nor do I own that pick-up line. I own Jaid Avery though. C:
I sat waiting for my date. I've been waiting for almost an hour, and I'm at a table, alone. I look so bad, dressed nicely, waiting for my date, almost done drinking this bottle of champagne accompanying me.
I poured myself another glass, breathing out a sound of sadness.
He's coming, he's probably running late. Who knows, there could be traffic? I kept telling myself, but the reality of it all is that maybe he's not coming. Maybe? Definitely.
I looked around, seeing other couples, having a great time and being lively, unlike me, being alone and bitter, drinking.
I saw a man in his twenties, his hair was brown and slicked back, his blue eyes were striking. Oh, how I wanted him to sit next to me and keep me company, but there was blond girl standing right next to him. That must've been his date. I couldn't blame him, she was beautiful after all.
I sighed, looking away before he noticed me. I pretended to be occupied with my glass of champagne, which was empty. I refilled it, and as I set the bottle down, to my surprise, the blue eyed man was sitting across from me, smiling at me.
"Hello..." I said, kind of creeped out. It's weird how this man came to me, as if he knew that I wanted him to come over here, like I said in my head.
"Don't be afraid ma'am." his accent was to die for. "I'm Charles Xavier." he held his hand out for me to shake
"Hi, I'm Jaid. Jaid Avery." I started to smile, shaking his hand. His grip was firm, yet reassuring.
"Beautiful name for such a beautiful young lady. What are you doing here alone? Isn't someone like you supposed to be accompanied by someone?" he asked, his accent was just so dreamy.
I cleared my throat before setting my glass down, "Well, I guess my date isn't coming."
"Poor thing." he said, looking in my eyes, he then gasped. I was scared again.
"Is there anything wrong, Mr. Xavier?" I was worried. Was there anything wrong with me?
"Are those amber eyes you have?" he seemed amazed. He seemed fascinated with my eye colour. I nodded. "That's a mutation, you know."
"Excuse me?" I was somewhat offended.
"Ms. Avery, don't get me wrong. Your eyes are astonishing. Your eye color is very rare, you see, do your parents have copper coloured eyes as well?"
"No..." I shook my head.
"Well, there was a mutation going on, leaving you with amber eyes, I think it's a pretty sexy mutation if you ask me." he winked.
I smiled, repeating his words over and over in my head.
"Charles." the curly blond haired girl who came with Charles spoke.
He waved at her. "Raven. Meet Jaid, she has a mutation. Her eyes are a rare colour."
"Oh, great, and Charles, our table is there, not here." she said, crossing her arms. I must've seemed to upset her.
I was nervous, so I stood up, saying, "I'll go, don't worry, I don't want to be a bother..."
"No, Jaid, don't mind my sister." Charles said, trying to stop me from leaving.
I arched my eyebrows at the word sister. And I thought this entire time that they were a couple.
"It's okay, I'll go, I've been here too long."
He made a sound of disappoint. "Well goodbye, Jaid."
I smiled, waving at him before I left the restaurant with my coat.
As I got in my car, I grinned like an idiot, looking into my eyes in my rear view mirror. I squealed. I never knew having a mutation could make me feel special. And sexy.
A/N: How'd you think? It's short, I know, but admit it, you want Charles Xavier to tell you that whatever you think is normal about yourself is a sexy mutation.
