Fight in the Park
Tony and McGee ran from behind the park bench to the giant boulder a dozen yards away; narrowly missing the ammo aimed at them. Tony had already been hit in the arm, but it wasn't fatal. They collapsed with their backs to the rock, sitting closely together so their arms and legs weren't exposed.
"Think this will last much longer?" McGee asked Tony.
"I don't know." Tony was breathing heavily.
"They've got to be almost out by now, right?"
"Depends how much they have stockpiled." Tony peered around the rock quickly a few times, but didn't see anything. He prepared his weapon, leaned out, and discharged his weapon multiple times. On the last two, nothing happened. "Damn! I'm out."
"Already?!"
"I'm not afraid to shoot!"
"I'm not afraid. Just cautious."
"Surrender now!" a female voice called from her cover a little bit away.
"Never give up! Never surrender!" Tony shouted back.
"Agent DiNozzo, you have been warned!" came another voice.
"You gotta take 'em out now, Probie."
"Tony, I don't think I can do this..."
"Of course you can! Don't be ridiculous. You are a strong Alpha Male, remember?"
"You have got to leave my iPod alone."
"Now is not the time!" Tony yelled. "You are the only one of us behind this rock left with any ammo. It's us or them. They already got me, remember?" Tony gestured to his arm. "It's time to save the day, McClane. Now give me a big 'yippee-ki-yay, mother-',".
"AHHHH!" McGee screamed out as a war cry, standing up from behind the rock, discharging his weapon over and over and over again. He felt himself get hit in the stomach and chest a few times before he finally fell to the ground.
"McGee!" Tony screamed. He pulled his friend's body into his lap. "No, McGee, no! Come on, man. Stay with me."
McGee barely opened his eyes. "I'm sorry, Tony," he whispered. "I let you down."
"No, Tim, you didn't. You did good, man. Real good. I think you even got one of them."
"So cold..."
"Don't close your eyes. We'll get through this. Together. We'll both be alright." McGee slowly lifted his hand to touch Tony's face. Then, his eyes closed, his hand fell, and his body went completely limp. Tony raised both arms in the air, looked towards the sky, and screamed. "NOOOOOOO!" He heard footsteps behind him, but didn't care. He petted the hair on top of McGee's head. "Poor little Probie," he said. The foot steps moved around the rock to stand in front of him. "You were the bestest friend anyone could ever ask for."
"Must you be so dramatic?"
Tony slowly lifted his head to look at his two assailants. He had anger spread across his face. Looking at the two women in front of him, he saw that he was right; McGee had managed to hit one of them. "You killed my friend."
"That makes us even." Tony reached for McGee's gun, but not fast enough. He was hit right between the eyes. He fell forward over McGee.
"Now there is a picture worth taking," said the one who had been hit.
"We should make it a greeting card." The two girls giggled.
Tony lifted his head up. "I thought we agreed to no head shots, Zee-Vah!"
"Sorry," she said still laughing. "I got a little carried away."
"You okay, McGee?" Abby asked kicking his foot.
"Yeah," he said sitting up. He looked at his multi-colored shirt, which was once white. "This food coloring is going to come out, right?"
She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know."
"Abby it was a good idea using colored water in these...things," Ziva said waving hers in the air.
"It's called a squirt gun or water gun, Ziva!" Tony said. "How do you not know this?!"
"Sorry I have not spent all my free time familiarizing myself with your recreational activities!"
"We should go," McGee said getting up from the ground, "before we're late and Gibbs kills us."
A sudden stream of water hit the four, causing them all to startle. They turned to see Gibbs standing there, holding his own water gun. "Too late."
