It's new years eve! Even though I wish I could hold her and kiss her on a daily basis I really want to do that now. But no I had to screw the best thing that ever happened to me up and now she is over there with her friends giggling instead of being with me. The ball will drop soon and even though I desperately want to kiss her after we all scream 1 but I can't.

It's new years eve. The time were everyone drinks too much booze and we all get exited when the count down begins. I can't help but gaze over at Dean while Laura gushes about how amazing Ted is. Oh mon dieux! I know that I should be trying to keep my distance from him but I can't help wishing to kiss him at midnight.

"3, 2, 1 Happy New Year!" we all shouted, as I patted Ted on the back and grabbed Maggie in a bear hug. I looked over to Colette and saw her staring back at me I went over to her and gave her a gentle hug.

"Happy new year" I heard her whisper softly.

"Let me walk you home."

"Ok" I whispered back, I was done putting up a wall. Yes Dean hurt me, yes it still hurt but it is a new year and I miss him.

"It's just that there are... wait what?" I looked up at him and gave him a shy smile I loved that he was protective of me.

"I said ok, I don't mind if you walk me home Dean." We soon realized that we were the only ones still wrapped up in an embrace so we reluctantly let go.

"Thank you for walking me home Dean."

"Don't mention it, I truly don't mind." He started to make his way down the stoop but he stopped in his tracks.

"What is it Dean?" Now we were face to face and I realized that I stopped breathing because of how close he was to me.

"There is something I have been wanting to do all night and if I don't do it now I never will. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1" The his lips captured mine and I turned to putty in his hands. At that moment it didn't matter who hurt who at that moment it was all about me and him like it use to. And I finally got my midnight kiss.

God I missed her. I didn't understand how much till now. As we broke the kiss she leaned her forehead against mine and whispered.

"Happy new year"

"Happy new year Colette"

"come inside it's freezing out here."
