Leo Valdez knew he screwed up. But when does he not? Well what about when he saved Hazel and Frank? And sent Percy and Annabeth to Tartarus?
Leo Valdez knew he was a mistake from the start. But who didn't? Well what about his mom? You mean the one he killed?
Leo Valdez knew he was special. But was it a good "special"? Well everyone is different, right? Yes because nobody else would want to be a flaming boy, correct?
Leo Valdez knew he was a monster. But what's new? Well he can't be a monster if he regrets it, right? And which mistake does he regret, breathing?
Leo Valdez knew he hated pity. But you'd think he'd be grateful? Well what if he doesn't want to be treated differently? And what, be treated like a normal person? NOTHING about him is "normal".
Leo Valdez knew he was an eccedentesiast. But, as if he had something to smile about? Well it is a good way to hide the pain? You mean the pain that he caused on himself.
Leo Valdez knew he was a seventh wheel. But who would want him? Well Hazel said that he mattered, right? As what, NOTHING he was just the final piece to the prophecy.
Leo Valdez knew about sacrifice. And what did he do as a "good" sacrifice? Well how about when he closed the doors of death in order to save the world? And that was when Leo Valdez had finally done something right… he had rid the world of his presence.
