Robert Langdon woke up with the annoying ringing of his alarm clock. It was 9 o'clock. Time for breakfast he thought to himself. He slackly got up from his bed and made his way to the small box like kitchen. He made himself a coffee, some cheese and all the other usual breakfast items. After all the chaos in Florence, Istanbul and Vienna it's good to be at home. Vienna he thought to himself. Just like Sienna. It's funny that they have such similar names. Maybe she got her name from the city. It was still a possibility, he thought while taking a sip from his coffee.

Sienna… He was feeling something strange when he was thinking of her and this time wasn't an exception. He sensed the momentary acceleration of heart and the adrenalin in his veins accompanied by the unexplained butterflies in his stomach. But I'm far elder then her, she deserves much better than a simple man like me.

Suddenly, he thought about all the other adrenaline full adventures that he lived and the people who entered to his life: Sophie Neveu, Vittoria Vetra, Katherine Salomon and now Sienna Brooks. After the adventures he had never heard from any of the women. Except Katherine. She was now retired and was the owner of her psychiatry clinic. Thanks to her grandfather, she was holding a fortune.

He also knew that Sienna and Elisabeth were too busy trying to find a cure for the air-borne virus which is capable of modifying human DNA. The masterpiece of Bertrand Zobrist he thought to himself. But that gave Sienna an aim, which is good.

All of a sudden he started wondering about Vittoria Vetra: another scientist, now occupied by the research of antimatter an all the too-much-physical things. Just after the exploit at Rome, he was quite impressed by the young woman. She was too strong unlike Sienna.

And Sophie: the tender French girl now doing a real serious job. She was a cryptograph in DGSE, French secret service. When he first learned about Sophie 3 years ago, he couldn't just believe his ears. A fragile girl like Sophie working for the government wasn't something that Langdon expected.

I think I attach to people in another mean under pressure he thought. All those women made his heart pound faster and liberated the butterflies from their cage. Or maybe I just have a simple weakness for women. Probably because I never had one in my life, not a serious one I mean. Am I that desperate?

All of a sudden the ringing of his phone pulled him out of his sea of ideas and scattered the heavy mist of his past. He picked up his phone to see who was calling. The result made his jaw drop. The person calling was Sophie Neveu.
