Title: Prior To Now

Notes: This poem was not written for any series or character. It came to me when I was sitting down with my note book. I think it's ok but could be better. Please review and tell me what you think!
I used to share my secrets,
Spill my hearts content.
But not anymore,
Been informed nobody cares.

I used to share my fears,
Let my annoyances flow free,
Stopped my ranting,
keeping my insecurities inside.
Found out nobody was listening.

I used to share my accomplishments,
Allowing myself the feeling of pride,
Stopped broadcasting my deeds.
Nobody wanted to know.
---
I used to smile a thousand watt smile,
One that shown with pearls of happiness,
But my smiles went away when no attention was obtained.
---
I used to share my tears,
Expressing my outlet of sorrow,
With the world's inhabitants,
Canceling the show after discovering nobody watched.
---
Now my thoughts are kept secret,
For my mind's viewing pleasure only,
My fears have seemingly become non-existent to the outside eye,
But they are there, only hidden.
---
Goals are continued to be met,
the news never to reach another's ears,
Smiles still accompany my features,
never to reach my eyes.
---
Tears have come and gone,
their only witness, the silence.
The changes were gradually made, becoming permanent,
Never making a difference,
After all without a audience nobody would know.
Hmm? I have mixed feelings about this one. I'm not feeling the last few lines, but ehh what do I know?
