Forbidden Hopes and Light

It was dark and stormy night. Lightening flashed an elegant yellow and the sound of thunder filled the sky with a grand roar. Kari Kamiya sat at her violet desk, doing her homework. It was hard for her to concentrate with the lightening and thunder, but she did her best. She longed for the phone to ring or something to happen that'll cause some distraction from her homework.

Kari jumped when another lightening bolt filled the sky with a purplish glow. The phone rang and she let out a sigh of relief.

"Hello?" Asked Kari picking up her pink colored phone.

"Hi Kari." Said a familiar voice from one of her friends.

"Hey, T.K." Said Kari. "What's up?"

"It's the digital World." Said T.K. sounding angry. "The computer says that a series of Dark Empires and Rings have appeared."

"That's awful." Said Kari. "Are we going to go to the DW?"

"I planned on it." Said T.K.

"Are the others going to be coming?"

"They're all to busy doing homework. I'll see you in 5 mins, K?"Sure."

"Bye."

"Bye." Kari hung up ending T.K.'s and her connection. She pulled on her pink raincoat and shoes and headed out the door.

"Where are you going Kari?" Asked Tai. Kari stopped in her tracks and stared at her older brother. "You have homework, remember?"

"T.K. called and said that the DW was in trouble." Said Kari.

"You know you have to do your homework first." Said Tai. "We agreed. Homework first than the Digital world."

"Tai please let me go." Pleaded Kari. Kari looked at her brother. His eyes where like a creamy chocolate bar.

"I don't know, Kari. School is a little more important."

"Please?"

"Oh o.k." Said Tai giving in. "Go." She said thank you and left.

T.K. stood in the pouring rain waiting for Kari. He wore a black shirt and beige cargo shorts.

"Where is she?" Thought T.K. looking down at his watch that was around his wrist rather tightly. It was 4'o clock. "She said 5 maybe Tai said that she couldn't come?" T.K. started inside the school and was going to go by himself, when Kari came running up the street.

"T.K.!" Kari shouted.

"It's about time. I thought something happened to you."

"Ready?" Asked Kari.

"Yup." Answered Tk.

"Digi port open!" shouted Kari. The computer room filled with pink and green lights and then T.K. and Kari were sucked into the computer.
